August 26, 201014 yr Author so me and phil are the only ones who saw it release day? fail on buzzjack. ugh really want to see it again already, me and my mate were tempted to see the next screening last night but it was sold out anyway, if we get bored at festival today we might go see it, thats how awesome it was. i was thinking it may be a bit werid if you havent read the comics, but i have so i dont know. i think the comics were better, but this is still the best film ever made. August 26, 201014 yr I really didn't think I would like it but it was just f***ingfantastic! I loved every single character and didn't think there was a weak link in the entire story. Felt a bit rushed towards the end as the build up was extremely slow but that's about the only negative thing and I can easily overlook that. The humour was just top notch. Right up my street and so random and I haven't read the comics and got the gist of it.

I don't know about other branches, but Wycombe's only showing it at like 18.10 and 20.45, and due to having to work there I am unable to see it until Tuesday and all the positive reviews of it are KILLING ME. No joke. But seriously, it's not even showing in the biggest screen here? Grown Ups is? That's tragic.
August 26, 201014 yr It was on Screen 8 in Cineworld Dundee which has 9 screens. :nocheer: We had 4 showings on opening day though and the 7pm was sold out an the one i went to was packed :cheer:

It's gotten so much hype etc so it seems a little odd to me. It's very rarely I ENJOY a movie as I'm more of a TV series kinda guy. Movies are usually dull and retarded excuses for 'entertainment' Grown Ups being the perfect example.
August 27, 201014 yr Yeah I had to settle for Grown Ups tonight as it was the only film with a decent showing. It was tragic, haha. I am shocked Steve Buscemi lowered himself to this however small his role was!

August 29, 201014 yr Gosh, The Expendables is getting more feedback in Russia than this masterpiece :mellow: I mean Stallone is ANCIENT. I'm not even going to watch that film, it's so gonna be awful and a waste of 2 hours. So i just watched it... a CamRip version but still i will watch it when BDRip leaks too. It's mindblowing. Fantastic. AMAZING. f*** Toy Story 3 tbh. The best scene was the Twins vs. Sex Bom-omb round. Gosh, i had goosebumps everywhere on myself. It was f***ing incredible! I'm so gonna print the comics (buying is too expensive thankyou) that have just moved in the download queue from the middle right to the top. <3 I can't even pick my favourite character. :( Ahhh incredible.
August 30, 201014 yr Author I'm really glad about the response in this thread, and glad it's moving people to the comics, i'm hopefully gonna see it again soon (just cos it was that good), Grami if you thought the end was a bit rushed, you should check out the comics the pacing is better.
August 31, 201014 yr saw Scott Pilgrim Vs The World and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, I thought this was a film for gamers and comic nerds. I was completely wrong its for everyone. It is fresh, hilarious and effortlessly cool. You won’t see anything like this again for a long time. Its a must see!

Managed to get my work's banners of Gideon and the Katayanagi twins aswell, not that I have anywhere to put them. Have also been pimping the $h!t out of it to customers who ask ahah, "what would you see out of Scott Pilgrim and Grown Ups?". There's no competition.

There's no competition. jealous. my cinema has a massive cardboard thing of all the evil exes with Scott and Ramona infront, i want it so much. read the comics, they are even better. f*** i want to see it again now. might go tomorrow.
