Am I missing something here? X Factor was 4 weeks ago now! Is there some other reason for why it's still selling?

I don't get the lasting factor either, it has exceeded my expectations but all I know is that it'll still sell with Glee's Pilot episode hitting the screens tomorrow.

Maybe it's got something to do with Glee but maybe people don't realise they have a version on iTunes?

Purely down to its popularity, maybe it's a good thing Joe McElderry didn't release this as his debut single as it might still be no. 1 at the moment. I guess we can conclude that the winner of The X Factor 2009 is Journey!!!

It's annoying me because even though I was around in the 1980s I think it is nowhere near as good as the current Glee Cast cover which should be the version being played IMHO, and normally I think 90% of the time covers are not as good as the original.
It's in the Glee ad which seems to be on E4 every 15 minutes.

It's not going to go away anytime soon as it's featured heavily in "Glee" which starts tomorrow on E4 and is being repeated on Channel 4 at some point.

It's a great song. Long may it hang around.

Some people are so whiny

It's a great song adored by thousands. That good enough?

Not usually. But strangely I dont hate it but I should.

It's good but there are better big, overblown 80s songs that need reviving! I suppose 'DSB' deserves it somewhat having never been a hit, but I'm glad it didn't make #1.
Probably partly because once a song is near the top of iTunes chart it's more visible so it continues to sell?
It's going to be this years Rockstar/Sex On Fire, i.e. still on the chart when X Factor 2010 starts. :D

65 NE Journey Don’t stop believin' 247760

I cant believe its already sold this amount in such a short space of time.

Oh and 29p at Amazon can't be doing it any harm. ;)

It simply got there because Joe sang it on X factor, and it has stayed not just because it is used heavily on Glee, but its a great song

Thats the reason- and it completely deserves its place, especially when the chart has rubbish in it such as Justin Bieber
