This is Miley's eighth official single, the lead single from "The Last Song" soundtrack and the second to be released through Hollywood Records from her "The Time Of Our Lives" EP.
It was written and produced by Hilary Lindsey and John Shanks. The music video for the single leaked three months ago and was directed by Adam Shankman. This is only Miley's second ballad single following "The Climb" from last year.

This is my favourite Miley track to-date, it's truly extraordinary and even if your not a fan of Miley it's definitely worth a listen! Should easily be Miley's 4th #11 smash in the UK and yet another top ten hit for her in the US.

Bland as hell... her voice is annoying too, especially when she tries to hit the high notes in the chorus, it goes through me - in a bad way.

If she can just get some influential promo organised it should easily but without it, it won't. A pity X Factor and American Idol is over, there's no doubt with her usual ace performances that it would be huge if she performed it on shows like that.

I love this song but you can hear the strain in her voice to hit the notes at times. im guessing another number 11!

If this song doesn't make the top 10 then I swear she never will. It's amazing and by far the most mature thing she's recorded yet. Her performance of it on tour was incredible too

"Party In The USA" would have easily went top 10 had her UK promo coinsided with its release week. So if Hollywood Records can learn from that mistake with this single release then it shouldn't have any problems reaching the top 10. Just the sooner they delete it off iTunes the better so that it can gain all the sales in the release week for a decent peak instead of spread out sales beforehand.

She's on Fascination Records in the UK which are just as crap with promotion as Hollywood are :lol:

And with the film coming out Spring Break, PITUSA still doing well, she will almost definitely be performing on Idol later on.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread about this because there's absolutely no other information on it and there probably won't be for a good few months yet but her new album (for the time being at least) is to be titled: I Can't Be Tamed. She reveals it about 35 seconds into this interview:

 

 

And to stick with the topic of this thread, Miley mentored on American Idol this week and she's performing When I Look At You on the results show wednesday if you're in the States and thursday night for those of us in the UK :dance:
