Posted January 13, 201015 yr OK, I've had this since around 2007ish I think and I've only ever given it one listen, shockingly. I didn't really like it then. BUT I've just given it another listen and HOW good is it? :o Joy Division :o Ace Reject  Obsession :o Not to mention 'Red Dress', 'Push The Button' and 'Follow Me Home'. I'd put it up there as one of their best albums, 'Change' just beats it for me. Agreeeeeeee?
January 13, 201015 yr Author OH and btw, spot who's been procrastinating when he has $h!tloads of work due. Meh.
January 13, 201015 yr I rank this as 2nd/3rd with AWDF behind the utterly stunning and, thanks to Keisha's sacking, unbeatable Three. Joy Division weirdly clicked with me at the Start of December, over 4years after i first got the album  The end of the album is stunning. 2 Hearts  Ace Reject  Now You're Gone      Not to forget It Ain't Easy and Bruised. Stunning album, shame Mutya left the culmination of AWDF and Three into TIMW showed so much promise. 2.0 will forever remain my favourite line up and Mutya my favourite babe.

Yeah, I love Bruised too  I agree, Mutya was definitely leading them in the right direction. They seemed to drastically change from this point onwards, starting with 'Easy' and ending up where we are today with the Sweet 7 album. You back at uni? :o I don't go back till the 18th. I'm not officially back until next Monday :P I'm just back early to do some work (not that any of it is getting done).

C&S is stunning, going back the the SugaRoots was going to be a huge risk, the public hated it but for me it contained some of 3.0's finest work. Not counting the S7 sampler of course which is perfect. I do miss hearing the babes produce stuff like Switch, Nasty Ghetto, It Ain't Easy and Gotta Be You. 3.0 epicfailed at any form of RnB inspired uptempo. Which is a shame seeing as the group originally had it's roots in RnB inspired Pop, but the management don't really care about the babes past :( They just care about making money at whatever cost. I live so close to uni i can flit between Uni and home as frequently as i want. I really should be doing work as well, but motivation is a bit thin on the ground :(

I was very disappointed with what I heard of C&S but Sweet 7 is sounding amazing so far (except for the dire 'Get Sexy'). I don't like overanalysing people's music, I like what I like and Sugababes have always been very consistent whether they're being poppy or RnBish or soulful. I think it's natural for a band that has been going for such a long time to come under such scrutiny, I just hope it doesn't end badly for them. I made sure I chose a uni far enough away so no one would be tempted to visit me, and vice versa. It means I get to return to my little housewousey a couple of weeks earlier

I had no idea i'd still be worshipping at the alter of the brand that brought us Round Round. While i love their output, the stuff 2.0 put out for me anyway was utterly stunning for the most part. I heavily favour some of the more RnB album tracks to the more poppy stuff. I agree that they've been very consistent, i love that they have the courage to change each album significantly and still keep a distinctive Sugababes sound. I hope S7 isn't the last of the Sugababes, i'm really looking forward to album 8 to hear what Jade can give us. Like when Amelle took over the rest of this album campaign is going to be full of 'If Keisha was still here......' I know i'll be doing a lot of it :kink: Change and AYN shut the haters firmly up and Jade needs that chance. I didn't get much of a search zone. I wasn't allowed to go to Aberdeen or Glasgow. The furthest away i went on a visit day was Stirling and Edinburgh. All three uni's were $h!t [stirling, Edinburgh and Herriot Watt] Which left me with Abertay [Waste of a degree, Dog $h!t has more weight than an Abertay diploma], Dundee and St Andrews. St Andrews was full of stuck up twats and the whole place is so far up it's own ass. Plus i was from a local state school. The aforementioned dog $h!t had more of a chance of getting in than i did, regardless of my grades. I was far too poor for St A's. So Dundee it was. Luckily it is an epic uni, and at 25mins just far away enough to advocate moving out. English uni's were never an option because i would have had to pay fee's, which i couldn't afford. One of the reasons i'm at uni is because i get it free. :( I made up for it by going to Aus for a semester

I love Jade (just as I loved Amelle when she joined, I think I have a thing for the underdogs :heehee:) and she needs a chance to assimilate into the band properly. If she can come up with anything near as good as some of her solo stuff I've heard, I'll be a happy fan  I wondered how you could afford Australia! I forgot all about the fees situation in Scotland. Nah, for me I simply made a list of all the unis that did my degree and then visited the best ones - all of them more than 100 miles from mine so it was win-win wherever I went really. It just so happens that Sheffield was confirmed as the best place in the UK for my course after my freshers year  Graduation in less than 6 months though and yet I still spent the whole day doing anything other than work. :teresa:
January 13, 201015 yr TIMW is probably my second favorite Sugababes album and definitly my fave 2.0 album. 2 Hearts and Ace Reject are among the best songs theyve ever done. It's the first sugababes album I loved. And it's easily their best album title and cover. The current era/line-up couldn't muster up a 10th of the class and fierceness conveyed by Mutya and Keisha on the TIMW cover. This is the only era where the music, image, artworks etc were all top notch and consistent. This was the Sugababes, as a whole, at their peak. (taking everything into consideration not just the music) C&S is my fave tho. Keisha's "songwriting" is amazing. Murder One and Sunday Rain show them at their best vocally and lyrically. Amelle sounds so perfect on Beware. Keisha totally owns the album though. And hell, even the other girl has a couple of shining moments. It's totally underrated. Based on the sampler, Sweet 6/3/1 looks like is gonna be half amazing half crap. You've got the crappiness of Get Sexy, Wear My Kiss and Little Miss everything contrasting the catchy, albeit unoriginal, About A Girl, and the amazing Thank You For The Heartbreak and Wait For You. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

Was still expensive as hell tho. I would loved to have that chance, but English uni's are £1300/year more expensive than Scottish uni's and SAAS wouldn't pay it all :( I lucked in with Dundee. The uni's reputation is getting better all the time, my dipolma when i finish will hold far more weight than it would have had i graduated when i started. I've got 18months left, all the courses up here are 4years long. :nocheer: We do a year less at school or something tho. The Scottish education system is f***ed up. You've still got 6months, plenty of time to revise and do plenty of anything but revision :kink:
January 14, 201015 yr I really think this is thier worst album, no amazing songs on thier, except Now You're Gone. Follow Me Home, Gotta Be You and Red Dress are ok though

There were another 2 but they've disappeared from Youtube :( I'm currently lying in bed watching TV, swearing at the results site coz it won't load
January 18, 201015 yr Great album!! I am still listening to it regularly. It has been the only CD I have been playing in my car the last two weeks actually, so it is funny that I saw this thread today. I feel that my favorite parts of the album were Heidi's parts, even though I love all the girls. My favorite parts are: Heidi--"Turn the lights down low, turn the lights down low.." part in the beginning of "Gotta Be You" Heidi--her breakdown part which starts with "Baby all I'm trying to say is that my heart is here to hold you" on "Follow Me Home" Amelle--"Don't need candlelight to make u stay over" part on "Red Dress" I love the entire "It Ain't Easy"---great beat!! So powerful. Also, "Ace Reject" and "Now You're Gone" are two great songs! This is one of my favorite albums of all the music I own....I never get sick of these songs and this album!! January 18, 201015 yr I do like it, most of it is good although there is some garbage on there, it's not perfect. Gotta Be You :puke:, Ugly, 2 Hearts. As far as the album tracks go, the cover of 'Obsession', Ace Reject, Bruised, It Ain't Easy. 'Follow Me Home' is one of their best ballads for me, but I think somehow it being released a single ruined it for me a bit. :(
