January 15, 201015 yr I expected Vanessa to be in the bottom two, the breathing difficulties were too noticable. Was expecting ehr to be much better after the performances before her! Danny started off really bad because of his nerves but the last notes were very good and I think he deserved to go through as he really could improve.
January 16, 201015 yr I wasn't surprised Vanessa got the "lack of prep" comments from the judges. She's the busiest in there, so she's obviously going to have less time to rehearse. That being said, if someone's having trouble breathing throughout the song, they should change it surely?! Some of the choices were laughable. Alex got about 1,000 la's. Glad he went over Ness.
January 16, 201015 yr Author Am I the only one who thought Darius was atrocious? He murdered Nessun Dorma. Should have never been given that when he had to lower the key so much. Could not agree more. My Mother was horrified at his performance, glued to the spot! Speaking of glue - Meat loaf. :puke2: Cringe. Poor Ness. Shocked she was almost out tonight. Shock of the night for me though was Bernie Nolan!
January 20, 201015 yr Love him or hate him ,Darius achieved something miraculous last Friday. He made Myleene Klass forget about the autocue and the excruciating lines she had to exhort people to vote e.g. If you're "in the mood for" Bernie. He's singing something from Carmen. The Toreador song? Marcella is singing something from Madame Butterfly. Anyone know how tall Myleene is? I always thought she was a reasonable height.

January 20, 201015 yr Vanessa has a really lovely voice. Rolando seemed impressed in the VT. I don't want any of them to go out. I think all eight plus Rolando and Katherine should do at least one big concert at the Royal Albert Hall for Nordoff-Robbins, the programme's chosen charity.

January 21, 201015 yr Danny is favourite to win - that was before he even opened his mouth. I actually thought Danny was the most irritating, blowing kisses to the crowd and looking so smug, Looked as if the screaming had gone to his head. I know he was singing a playboy aria, but still I wonder if he was meaning to? I am looking forward to seeing what they sing and if they have learnt anything new this week, it's all good as its for charity,

He seems to have a relationship with Frankie from the Saturdays too, so a bt of a playboy in real life. He's only 23. These are popstars. They're used to a certain style of singing and a certain way of performing. He'll learn what the older ones already know you tailor both to suit your song. Darius went the other way and sang but didn't perform. Although to be fair, there's not much jigging around when it's supposed to be approaching dawn and you're gonna get beheaded if anyone in the country can find out your name before dawn, with everybody instructed by the princess not to sleep- Nessun Dorma! -and find out.
