March 19, 201015 yr So, the amazing music video hasn't had much of a boost impact for this chartswise. Still praying it goes top ten anyway, it will be so unfair if it misses it OMG :drama:
March 19, 201015 yr Author It reclimbed to #17 on release week, and is now crawling down the charts. It won't outpeak #11. :(
March 19, 201015 yr I think it'll stick around for a good while yet though, it's #21 in midweeks I think. ^_^ If they had released the video and released it when it had more hype then I'm sure both the album and single would've been much bigger hits ... -_-
March 19, 201015 yr 'Blah, Blah, Blah' is one of the weakest (if not the weakest) on the album. God only knows why she chose it as a single. It's annoying and not very likeable at all. (Hence why it struggled). IMO. The singles should have gone... 01. 'TiK ToK' 02. 'Take It Off' [As much as I don't like it as much as others, it seems VERY popular] 03. 'Hungover' 04. 'Kiss N' Tell' Also the singles I've just stated would sorta tell a story :kink: 'TiK ToK' about starting a party and stuff. 'Take It Off' about to have sex (whilst at the party). 'Hungover' the morning after the night before etc... and then 'Kiss N' Tell' as she realises what's happened and tells him he shouldn't have "Kiss and Tell" or whatever :heehee: And then maybe, if she really wanted to release 'Blah, Blah, Blah', do it after 'Kiss N' Tell' :kink: (Just to keep it in tact with my story :drink:)
March 19, 201015 yr It's as if her label only cares about getting success in the US where she's HUGE and Blah Blah Blah debuted and peaked too early as a result of cherry picking from the album so it was obviously predicted to outpeak its cherry picking peak but it hasn't, she performed it on American Idol and released the music video AGES after the initial hype and that's it. The whole release has been disasterous, I mean Poker Face debuted at 27 or something from cherrypicking hype and got to 1 where Blah Blah Blah debuted at an extremely impressive 11. . If you put one and one together she should have reached no.1 but it hasn't it makes no sense :hithead:

Hence Blah being the most OBVIOUS choice for second single, God only knows why it wouldn't be  It's my favourite on the album as well. And the planned single order is YLIMD for 3rd and Take It Off for 4th. And hopefuly a ballad single for 5th which I'd prefer to be Dancing With Tears In My Eyes over Hungover, Blind or Animal.
March 19, 201015 yr I've always looooved 'Blah Blah Blah', I never really got the hate for it. :( I think if they release 'Your Love Is My Drug' next it could easily save the album and become a hit though.

Commercial Radio started playing it, the week the album was released! It happens most of the time, when a song is announced as the next single, and recieves enough hype it will be the most "cherry picked track" from that album. Look at GaGa's 'Poker Face' and Dizzee's 'Dirtee Cash' for example. Both announced as the next single, literally a day or two before album release... and bam. 'Your Love Is My Drug' 3rd single? Really? Just a weaker 'TiK ToK' (although still good) IMO of course :) (And will become a big hit) My list, were basically the songs I PERSONALLY thought were the most commercial choices and would give her the most success. 'Blah' didn't really do that well, considering the hype it recieved, and most importantly, it hasn't sold the album. I believe the songs in my PERSONAL list would help the album out as they're far more commercial and "likeable" Don't forget this is obviously MY OPINION :)
March 19, 201015 yr Thatgrapejuice said YLIMD is the 3rd single. And Blah was only said to be the 2nd single a week or two after the album was released, that I remember for a fact, there was still all the confusion surrounding Backstabber and YLIMD being the 2nd single so its charting success was initially on cherrypicking for the first month or two in the US and first 3 weeks in the UK. It dropped 11-15-30 or something like that and only started rebounding from there upon the single announcement and then the music video. It has sold Platinum in the US and also really well in the UK considering its messy release and it received about half the radio support TiK ToK got... ANYWAY, it's up to #11 on US iTunes after her performance on American Idol :cheer:
