I'm just hoping the stuff on the album is better coz I really don't get Stylo at all. Not a patch on anything from Demon Days.

i must say it has massively grown on me, i like oit a lot now, still isnt as good as I had hoped though, especially when you look at the past album's lead singles.
I find gorillaz singles have a tendancy to grow and grow, usually when i hear the singles first im like oh dats not as good as the last one but after a while i end up loving them, im hoping the same will happen here.
so when is it?the single will just decline until its on mtv and I want this top 10!!

Could you PM me a link please? :D

I'm not a fan of 'Stylo' but I'm still interested to hear the rest of the album.

Q gave it 5 starts and said it was album of the year, already and Albarn's masterpiece.
To be honest I never really got Demon Days apart from Feel Good Inc which was great.

Is it definitely the actual album? I read somewhere that the leak was just the D-Sides album with Stylo sequenced correctly.

Seems it is D-Sides/Stylo yes. There's hope yet

Gorillaz have confirmed that they will premiere the video for new single 'Stylo' on YouTube on March 2 at 5am GMT.

The promo clip reportedly follows animated bassist Murdoc Niccals through a dangerous trip to the mainland from his new home on Plastic Beach, the namesake of their upcoming new album.

The video also includes a high speed car chase with Noodle and vocalist 2D escaping the police.

Discussing the storyline, Murdoc said: "Someone was chasing me through the desert! Luckily I had my camera crew following me and they captured it all on film, so I've cut it up and stuck it back together for my 'Stylo' video! That'll learn me not to leave the safe, toxic, isolated haven of Plastic Beach..."

The 'Stylo' video is directed by Jamie Hewlett and produced by Cara Speller. The live action was created through HSI Productions in Los Angeles and the animation by Passion Pictures in London.

I'm looking forward to listening to this in full, will be very hard for it to beat their last album, as perfect as it was
There's a 128k rip leaked out there too - giving it my first full listen now. I couldn't get the Guardian widget to load. Doubt I'll keep the album for too long though, not really my thing - although the De La Soul / Gruff Rhys collaboration is great.
Dunno, not a lot to grab me on there. Some great, great moments but some real throwaway tripe too.
