It's so unfair how the Gorillaz are so under-rated. :( They are one of the best bands ever. Their Ross performances were epic.
I thought the Ross performance showed up the gulf between the old material and the latest album.

When I thought this band couldn't get more amazing. They just did. They rocked Glasto. They are the best live band EVER!

Who's going 'Escape To Plastic Tour' I'm totally going. :D

Amazing Glasto performance yesterday, Clint Eastwood with Snopp Dogg, f***ing amazing.

Damn I missed it - I need toget on YouTube I think.

I thought Snoop was ace, but yeah a lot of people made out it was gonna be special guests galore, although Damon does an amazing job on his own anyway.

It was one of the best performances I've ever seen at Glastonbury. Reports that the crowd were bored pretty much just sums up those who camp at the Pyramid Stage and / or those who wanted to see U2. Snoop doing 'Clint Eastwood' was a real special moment and great to see Mick and Paul playing on all the songs.

i think anyone who found it boring really needs to learn to appreciate music properly. As far as I'm concered Damon doesnt really make hits he makes pieces of music (these days with Gorillaz anyway, obviously not with Blur), just because they didnt come on stage and only churn out hits doesnt mean they are boring. Watching it really makes me want to see them live.

Totally agree. I for one loved every minute of the performance. ^_^

No, in the first demo she is present in the second part of the song. This 3rd Phase Phase, as in the Gorillaz actually have a back story to go with their albums the cartoon band members are now older and will be drawn in a new style by Jamie Hewlett. According to Damon, the new album will take a fresh new approach compared to the Demon Dayz style Demon Dayz doing the same over the original album.

And if you didnt know, another B-side album came out this year called D-Sides which was the B-side for Demon Dayz. I bought the special edition and must say that there are some magnificent songs on there, my favorites being Hong Kong and We Are Happy Landfill.

I have just had a real "DOH!" moment!

Couldn't stand Stylo when it came out. Totally disappointed.

Just seen the video on Viva and f*** me I loved it!

Now to listen to the album and see if my opinion for that has changed.

Sorry for reviving such an old thread but it had to be done.
