January 21, 201015 yr And probably again 25% off one copy's price is going for helping Haiti :nocheer: I'm sure it will. Just like 'You Are Not Alone' and 'Hero'. -_- Peter Kay should be doing a charity single. He has better ideas than Simon Cowell and, in his case, all money went to Children In Need rather than Simon Cowell's bank account.
January 21, 201015 yr My highlight is still Nicole Scherzinger's face during Nat Bedingfield's part: 1:44  <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEdNkXVwQxg&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEdNkXVwQxg&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> LMFAO. Nicole clearly either smelled something or finally got the meaning of the lyrics. Hence the following movements...
January 21, 201015 yr JLS are doing some sort of announcement on radio tommorow.. so they may be involved too
January 21, 201015 yr   it's on their "breaking news" ticker, I posted it in this thread at 3pm Edited January 21, 201015 yr by outlook
January 21, 201015 yr Yeah, they use that "Breaking News" bar for anything, I actually think its rarer to see the normal news ticker, everytime I've switched on Sky in the past few weeks there has been some sort of "Breaking News". I wonder if they'll announce Joe...? Or is that wishful thinking?
January 21, 201015 yr I think Leona and Cheryl are confirmed because they've actually already recorded their bits, so whatever happens they'll be on it. If they say other stars who have said they want to be on it, but don't mange to record for it, then it'll make them look a bit silly - so we could see anyone...
January 21, 201015 yr Author From Leona's official website: Leona confirms involvement in Haiti charity single. Leona Lewis said ‘You can definitely count me in. What’s happened in Haiti is absolutely heartbreaking and I really hope everyone pulls together to help.’ The single will split all proceeds between ‘DEC’ (Disasters Emergency Committee) http://www.dec.org.uk/ and The ‘Helping Haiti’ appeal for Medecins Sans Frontieres UK http://www.msf.org.uk/. Disasters Emergency Committee, Chief Executive Brendan Gormley said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to help those recording, producing and buying this charity single make a difference in Haiti. More and more water, food, household items and medical supplies are getting through to the earthquake survivors. Buying the charity single will greatly aid our work and help us work with survivors in Haiti to rebuild new lives from the ruins.’
January 21, 201015 yr See - ALL Profits. Simon is not stupid enough to take ANY money from this, millions would boycott his shows, he'd flop in popularity faster than Katie Price did.
January 21, 201015 yr Anyone know when this is being released ? As soon as possible, I'd imagine. It was said to be 10 days, which would mean its released 31st Jan
January 21, 201015 yr Author I'd rather donate money directly not through Simon Cowell. Good for you :) I forgot how Simon takes the big cheque over to Haiti and forgets to namedrop everyone who bought it. Charity singles aren't new and they aren't going away :P
January 21, 201015 yr The point of Charity singles is because people always want something for their money. It gives people who wouldn't normally/can't afford to give to charity a reason to give to charity.
January 21, 201015 yr This reminds me of the 2001 US charity single 'What's Going On' collectively known as Artists Against Aids: NAxdWRmxipc I have that on single  I always remember Darren Hayes part for some reason...maybe he stuck out a bit against all of the Americans :heehee:
January 21, 201015 yr There is no pleasing some people, I love "Everybody's Hurts" It's legendary, everyone I know loves it.
