BH: Oh to be Britney Spears in 2010.

Judge Reva Goetz ordered Britney to personally appear in court this Friday for a conservatorship hearing, something Jamie Spears, who banks nearly $18,000 a month from Britney to "run" her affairs, dreaded for quite some time.

Afterall, why would he want his cash cow to open up her chomps and reveal just how lonely and suffocated the conservatorship she's placed under really is? Without this imprisonment, Jamie would lose his pretty home in Hollywood, his monthly salary and most importantly his ego. But enough about him, this is about Britney!

Friday's hearing could be huge; a newfound freedom for a woman trapped for years because she's made a few poor decisions. But the punishment did not fit the crime! If doctors, lawyers, handlers, managers and hell... even her own family thought Britney was that incapable of handling her own affairs - so much so that a conservatorship was desperately needed - then why rush an album and world tour?

I'm sorry, must have been doctor's orders.

The New Album

My gosh! With all the recent 2010 album news, I've almost entirely forgotten about Britney's well-being.

Britney is rumored to be working with an all-star team of writers and producers for her seventh studio album, including Bloodshy & Avant, Incredible Lago, Scott Storch, Keri Hilson, DJ A Trak, you name it! That's great and all, but I have yet to see where BRITNEY contributes.

I can't speak for her, but I know if I had to endure Groundhog's Day, everyday, I'd lose that spark of artistic expression and inspiration to create. She's only ALLOWED $1500 a week from her multi-million dollar fortune to spend as she pleases. Why would Britney go that extra mile in her career when it's benefiting a fleet of users and hanger-ons?

Perhaps without the restraints of a conservatorship, Britney will co-write more than 2 songs on an album (no thanks, Circus) and show fans a side to her that's not calculated. Move into a new direction that's not 1...2...3...

If Britney can once again take control of her own life, independent of a micro-managing "team" (and I use that word loosely), fans may experience a side to Britney Spears they've never seen; isn't that what growing artistically is all about? Isn't that what you're a fan of? or became a fan from?

The Facade

Round of applause, please! I have to hand it to them, they did a great job during the last two years of staging a Britney Spears that looked like, as some fans like to refer as, "The old Britney." But what does that even mean?

Do fans want a Britney that's told what to say, how to say it, when to smile, look to the right, look up, down, blush, nervously laugh again and give a cookie-cutter 12 word reply? If you want the old her, then pop in "Oops!... I Did It Again" and enjoy.

Does her team think fans are that foolish to believe the trickery? YES, yes they do. They rely on this!

They love us fans because despite the dissolved connection to her, the impersonal messages her team relays and the lost sense of fandom, we continue onward supporting her.

Britney can grace covers of fashion magazines, endorse brands, record new music and have a pretend boyfriend, but if she remains spiritually broken does any of this matter?

Friday, January 22, 2010, is a big day for Britney Spears. It's a day where her voice will be heard, a day where new beginnings may arise; a day where Britney can grow as a person, a mother and as an artist.

Then again, living in sin is the new thing...

WOW. Amazing read! I definately see and agree where he's coming from. The bit that particularly grabbed me was:

Also; extra yay at Keri Hilson being involved with the new album :kink:
