The most bizarre thing about 'Teenage Life' for me anyways was that it sounded better live on Eurovision night (especially the schoolgirl singers) compared to the studio version.

The performance and live vocals from the girls and the general sentiment and stage presentation were incredibly charming. However, Daz jumping about on stage in his yellow jacket looking like he'd just come in from the greasy spoon was less than endearing in comparison. I'd say that if he'd perhaps had more relevance to the performance in his look/outfit, interacted with the girls somehow, or a younger artist had performed the song, we could have ended up a lot higher than 19th. As it was, we got quite a few votes from Eastern European countries in 2006, who I generally would have thought would be the last to vote for the song.

It definitely smacked of slightly wasted potential to me. The song itself is by a mile my favourite UK entry of the 00's. I'd much rather listen to it than Come Back or It's My Time, but I've always been a fan of Daz and his side projects embarrassingly, so this is hardly a surprise

I utterly hated Teenage Life. BUT, I bought every single by Bus Stop, and the album on import

Anyhoo, I like this song now, and quite like the video, but it's incredibly cheap, and as someone already said, it's not going to pick up much airplay, on TV or radio :(

I could reel off a list of Daz related singles I own - Bus Stop, Rikki & Daz - Rhinestone Cowboy (:drama:), all of the Uniting Nations singles, Teenage Life, a football song he released, I'm sure there are more!

I've heard That Sounds Good To Me once, on Radio 2, and I expect that will be it unless by some miracle it reaches the UK top 40!

Josh is so cheesy in the video, smiling all the time and barely opening the mouth. As for the song - this version (I am now absolutely LOST with these 'official', 'final', 'eurovision', 'pre-final', 'pre-pre-final' etc etc versions of each freaking entry  So don't know which it is  ) is the best by far! Although there's still A LOT to work on...

We are so going to flop, they could have brought the Twins back from last year to perform for us this year.

That would have been ten times worse :drama:

True, although I could have sworn they were in Ashes To Ashes the other week

Josh was on Radio 2 this morning btw on the Graham Norton show, it's on iPlayer if you want to listen (it was at about 7:20am).

Christ on a bike we really are sending a lump of $h!te this year aren't we. *Watches as what's left of the tattered burnt and ruined Sugababes reputation slides away into a black hole*
Oh amazing  Might have to iPlayer that when I get in...

Oh for heavens sake, their rep does not solely ride on how something Jade did once is viewed retrospectively.

It does when theres so little of it left such a minor thing like this can kill whats left of it.

got the eurovision album yesterday and god this sounds even worse seemed more slow than before and i just really think out of most of the songs this has got to be back to bottom of table
I know for a fact that Tom already knows about this, but there is a campaign on Facebook to get "That Sounds Good To Me" to UK #1 on the week of the contest

How are we going to do that when it's not even available to buy physically or to download? :heehee: That would mean it would need to be on iTunes by Monday...
