March 12, 201015 yr From the songs i have heard so far i see no reason why Ireland wont do well this year, yes id love an Irish win but even coming out of the semi and going top 10 on the night would be brilliant for Ireland, maybe im biased but i think Ireland has by far one of the best songs this year so far. I can seriously see Ireland getting the Maria/Jade 5th placed classy ballad vote this year...a win isn't out of the question either in my opinion - if Niamh qualified and got drawn last, she could do it. But it seriously looks like Norway again as it stands...
March 12, 201015 yr I have listened to the Norway entry this year and i cant see why people are ranking it so high, its probably just me but i dont think its anything special but then again i thought the same about last years fairytale and look what happened.
March 12, 201015 yr Author I thought fairytake was a good song but nothing great and i was disapointed it won last year and even more disapointed by how many points it got. Iceland should have won last year :heart:

He was definitely the best of the six acts. Will the juries vote for it? maybe if they've been in a box for 15 years. Will the European public vote for it? NO However, there is so much absolute tat confirmed which will inevitably default to the final that yep, 16th wouldn't be an impossibility I don't reckon!
March 12, 201015 yr I'm gobsmacked at how shoddily the BBC have treated ESC this year. As I said earlier, I don't think the NFs were even this bad before last year! :manson: Thank goodness the best performer won.
