Here's half an answer from Mike Stock...

Just thought I'd give a final update on Josh Dubovie and the song for Europe.

We mixed the record on Friday and everyone seems to love it. Josh sounds great and we think the style of the new version is better suited to him. The song will be on the Eurovision compilation album which is released before May 29th but we will also release it as a single in the UK.

We'll be concentrating now on developing a stage act for Josh with backing vocalists and a bit of choreography. But mostly it's about rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal. I'll give further updates regarding these preparations in due course which will include styling, photo shoots etc. I expect there will be plenty of press and magazine interest and I'll let you know of any major TV or radio appearances. But for the song itself, that's all over and completed; I can do no more.

That's it for now.

1/500000 it's a swing version ^_^

By that it sounds like we won't be hearing the final version until May
Only if they make new videos, which they better do, considering the abomination that is our first one :arrr:
Do we know if he is going to tour europe like Jade did? Look how well it did for her, would countires like Greece having given us 12 points if she hadn't performed in the country? I doubt it!!
Jade performed at some national finals last year (such as the Greek one), and the national finals are over for this year

I don't think he is touring, but the final version of the song has been completed now...

It's worrying that he doesn't appear to have any plan to let us hear the new version before May :( And that they're only now developing the stage act

Is it quite bad that, for the first time EVER probably, I really don't care how we do this year? Maybe I'll feel differently when the final version is available, but atm I couldn't give a $h!t tbh. :( I suppose because I know we've send a dire song, and we've proved that we can do well last year, then supporting this dirge is less warranted. I shall be supporting Croatia this year if things don't get any better! -_-
When does the album with all the entries on normally come out? I waited til then last time to hear most of the songs

You managed to bring yourself to care how we did in 2008?

I'm supporting Ireland this year if the final version isn't up to scratch...

Not sure :o But loads of entries are still being revamped so it might not be until late April/early May...

UK release - 3rd May, according to HMV

Yeah...2008 would've - somehow - done quite well had jury votes been included, so had the 2009 system been used we wouldn't have come joint last I'm quite sure. That said, it was probably the worst song on the night imo. This year we're destined for failure with or without them.

Maybe the juries will somehow like That Sounds Good To Me if they liked Even If  I don't particularly care how we do this year either, but like others am praying for an amazing final version so I can get behind it.

Weren't the Turkish back-up jury votes leaked? And they gave 8pts to "Even If" :o

I think so yes! And Bulgaria gave it ten!

The compilation CD will include the entries as they are now. Hopefully the official Eurovision website will make the same blunder as it did last year and stick it online a few weeks too early!

You can't polish a turd. :w00t: How can you make 'That Sounds Good To Me' better? By rewriting the whole song, that's how.

The song in its current form (well, the version we heard on YCNY) is generic S/A/W/ "stuck in 1989" dirge. Like I posted in another thread, even Big Fun would've rejected the song twenty years ago. I find it hilarious when you watch clips of Josh on BBC 1 Morning News being interviewed and saying "I think I can win with this song".

I think Josh is a brilliant liar. :D
