April 22, 201015 yr Oh jesus they made it worse  I would have laughed at you if you had said it could get worse yesterday. I didn't think it was physically possible.
April 22, 201015 yr I think it needs to be pointed out that it is not the final version. It is the version they recorded in order to submit a studio recording to the EBU in time for the deadline. It will be included on the official CD (which is where the radio station who played it got it from). It has since been further revised, apparently is "significantly different" and "punchier." So the version which will be released as a single and performed at Eurovision itself is different from this version and will be premiered at the Dutch Eurovision party on Saturday, and hopefully on British radio sometime next week. Still, even considering that dire version played today wasn't the final version, this whole thing is a bit of a mess.
April 22, 201015 yr That sounds like a filler track from the Fast Food Rockers album... no joke! 0 points here we come, not even Ireland and Malta will vote for that rubbish.
April 22, 201015 yr Last May, I put a picture of Jade up on my wall, and it's still there. I have no decided not to replace it with Josh, as the song doesn't deserve it. Instead, Jade will very soon be replaced by Lena. Yes, during Eurovision week, I'm becoming German ;)

April 22, 201015 yr LOL oh boy  it's like they were trying to make the song sound more like a last placer (if that's possible even). what a shame.

Whatever, I've completely given up hope that this tragedy can ever be any good  I wouldn't be surprised if the final version is somehow even worse :drama: It's quite strange for the performed version to be 'significantly different' to that on the CD so I'm not expecting it to be much different. But yeah, for a professional as Pete Waterman is, the way this whole thing has been handled by him is very amateurish.
April 22, 201015 yr Sertab's performance track was majorly different (in a good way) to the compilation version, unless it was a mistake that an inferior version made the CD. So there is still hope, but I doubt the final version will be anywhere near as great as Sertab's revamp

Better but still far from one of my favourite songs, I can't stand her voice yet buy any ESC related UK release on CD single hence me owning it :P

I bought Divine on 7" and have never played it, but felt I had to buy it because it was a Eurovision related UK release :heehee: . Here's hoping Satellite will get a UK release now it's been played on Radio 1 :kink:

Here's hoping Satellite will get a UK release now it's been played on Radio 1 :kink: I have an awful feeling it will be made 'album only' or something like they sometimes are. And it's not available as a digital single either. I think it's insane that they don't make all of the songs available, there's so much potential money to be made, particularly from the winner! Fairytale still sells now, one play somewhere and it's boosted right back to the iTunes top 100

So there is still hope, but I doubt the final version will be anywhere near as great as Sertab's revamp  I actually thought it was the original album version of 'Everyway That I Can' that made the Eurovision album. The version performed on the night of the contest was the Galleon remix. I agree, the remixed version is stunning compared to the watered down US RnB sounding version. I'd laugh if Josh somehow got a really great sounding track by the night of the final but I still think the chorus to 'That Sounds Good To Me' is beyond appalling. If only they could rewrite the chorus it'd be a vast improvement. :(
April 23, 201015 yr It's actually worse. Dear god...I hope there's a third incarnation somewhere along the line.
April 23, 201015 yr I have just been told that the annual Eurovision album sells more copies in the UK than any other country :o I know we have one of the biggest population's, but still.... It's actually worse. Dear god...I hope there's a third incarnation somewhere along the line. Don't worry, there is :P
April 24, 201015 yr CD version has leaked on you know which blog :P the recent 2nd version on the Youtube video that we just heard was being played in a lower pitch for some reason, the CD version is faster again, and actually not the worst thing ever. Although it still sounds incredibly dated, i.e. contemporary in 1996 but not so much in 2010 :(

April 24, 201015 yr http://eurovisionsongcontest2010downloads.blogspot.com/ :kink: The full CD is out now btw... it's already available for legal download in Sweden. And about a song that was very different on the night than the CD, what about Sibel Tuzun (Turkey 2006?) The version on the CD was in a totally different key (and totally in Turkish)... Oh and by the way, I like the new version of our song, with some hesitation. But I'm still 100% sure they will come up with an excellent presentation and performance for the final.

I'm sure of that too, but this is a song contest, and I'm nowhere near 100% sure that the final final version will be excellent. And wasn't the CD version of Moldova last year different to on the night. I think the CD had a bit in English, but no English on the night. The bit where on the CD she sings "in a country called Moldova" Oh, and thanks for the link to the blog

It wasn't in the original NF performance, but I'm 99% sure it's on the CD. No problem :)
