March 9, 201015 yr Author this is the first place i have heard anything good about it. i also trust this guy: http://twitter.com/rob_sheridan/status/10130363718 more than alot of people on this earth, so not for me i think :D "Sadly, I found Alice in Wonderland soulless and boring, with lazy, distracting overuse of CGI." You're going to go off one person's views on the film, rather than the millions who loved it  right ok...
March 9, 201015 yr You're going to go off one person's views on the film, rather than the millions who loved it  right ok... if you fully read my post, the first thing i said was "this is the first place i have heard anything good about it", did that not suggest I had heard other bad things? i'm just saying that the one person who's tweet I showed I respect quite a lot, as it happens we actually had a short discussion about it in my Film Studies class yesterday and the people in my class didnt seem to like it, aswell as hearing bad things about it from other people i spoke to yesterday aswell as a few overheard convosations. Sorry "millions" who loved it? I know it has done good at the box office already but how can you possibly know that "millions" loved it?

March 14, 201015 yr Estimates have Alice grossing $17,400,000 on its second friday 57.4% on last friday. Green Zone is a distant second with $5,000,000. Looking like it's heading for a very strong second weekend total (one of the best ever), however weekend predictions have Alice on course for a sharp 57% drop from last weekend (recent family films second weekend declines have been in the range of 12% to 45%) due to the massive rush to see the film in its opening weekend and "unimpressive" word of mouth. As a result a second weekend gross of $58m is predicted, with the film crossing the $200m barrier in 10 days. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=2685&p=.htm (Weekend preview) http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2010/03/13/...nd-remember-me/ (Box Office Update) btw here is the boxofficemojo article analyzing Alice's opening weekend - it's an interesting read. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=2684&p=.htm As of this Friday Alice in Wonderland's total stands at; Domestic: $164,025,000 + Foreign: $94,000,000 (foreign total hasn't been updated) = $258,025,000 Friday: $40,804,962 Saturday: $44,209,073 8.3% Sunday: $31,086,988 -29.7% Monday: $9,008,430 -71% Tuesday: $7,976,108 -11.5% Wednesday: $6,772,798 -15.1% Thursday: $6,766,997 -0.1% Friday: $17,400,000 157.1% / -57.4% Alice fell 25% from monday to wednesday, but overall it has maintained decent momentum throughout the week according to boxofficemojo. I wonder if the the trend will continue with Clash of the Titans, How to Train Your Dragon, Skrek Forever After, Toy Story 3 etc. Edited March 15, 201015 yr by Daniel Flo-LeLe
March 15, 201015 yr I really hope 'Toy Story 3' breaks records and leaves 'Avatar' well behind :drink:
