Posted January 28, 201015 yr Only one show this year, on February 6th (naturally :drama:) - here are the ten songs that are hoping to improve on mini Ronan's Brinck's respectable 13th place in 2010; Bryan Rice - Breathing Joakim Tranberg - All about a girl MariaMatilde Band - Panik! Simone - How will I know Jens Marni - Gloria Chanée & N'evergreen - In a moment like this Kaya Brüel - Only tonight Thomas Barsøe - Just like rain Sukkerchok - Kæmper for kærlighed Silas & Kat - Come come run away looking forward to hearing these, nice to see Silas in the Danish selection :kink:
January 28, 201015 yr Sukkerchok :cheer: I hope it's their year, this time Any idea when these songs will leak? I know they did last year, and the broadcaster or record company or whoever wasn't very happy about it :kink: Edited January 28, 201015 yr by bigzarafan
January 28, 201015 yr Author funny, I was thinking the same thing  these English language solo male songs seem to go down well in Denmark - Believe Again, All Night Long, Talking To You, Drama Queen (:kink:) etc...
January 28, 201015 yr N'evergreen is raping all the national finals :( Last year Russian, now Danish.
January 28, 201015 yr Author you do realise that if this is any good and fails to win the Danish MGP, you HAVE to send it to BJSC :kink:
February 1, 201015 yr Here is a taster of the Danish songs http://www.dr.dk/melodigrandprix/Artikler/2010/smuglyt.htm
February 1, 201015 yr Author listening through to the songs now...Breathing sounds average, All About A Girl sounds average, Panik! sounds fairly good, How Will I Know sounds like a decent-ish Disney ballad, Gloria is like a male sung Kelly Clarkson song - not bad, In A Moment Like This sounds fairly good but generic Eurovision fare, Only Tonight sounds average dancy type song, Just Like Rain sounds a bit average, Sukkerchok's song is easily the best so far, is quite Agnes-like musically with the harsh strings, Come Come Run Away by Silas & Kat sounds average from the clip... Denmark nearly always send average songs and this probably won't change...Sukkerchok's song is the only one I'm really looking forward to hearing in full based on the clips!
February 1, 201015 yr Sukkerchok's song is the best once again, but even that ain't as good as "Det Det" :(
February 5, 201015 yr Sukkerchok - Kæmper for kærlighed (23.9 %) Bryan Rice - Breathing (17.2 %) Simone - How will I know (11.0 %) Joakim Tranberg - All about a girl (9.8 %) Jens Marni - Gloria (8.6 %) Kaya Brüel - Only tonight (8.0 %) Chanée & Tomas N'evergreen - In a moment like this (6.7 %) MariaMatilde Band - Panik! (6.7 %) Silas & Kat - Come come run away (5.5 %) Thomas Barsøe - Just like rain (2.5 %) ESCToday poll - current standings. All looks set for Sukkerchok to go to Oslo :w00t:
February 5, 201015 yr Author Sukkerchok's new song sounds miles better than Det Det for me, I can't wait to hear it in full :o
February 6, 201015 yr Congratulations on making the final Silas :kink: Sukkerchok DEFINITELY best though. Even better than former BJSC #2 Det Det :kink: Full version: 4G27YAUeQPg
February 6, 201015 yr Listened to them all and there's 3 decent entries for me. MariaMatilde Band, Kaya Brüel and Sukkerchok. I expect one of the male artists will win though, like GD said.
February 6, 201015 yr Author Sukkerchok's song is like a more hyper Release Me  I LOVE it!
February 6, 201015 yr Author listening through the ten songs now - my views; Breathing - pleasant, a bit Bleeding Love in places rather oddly - 8/10 All About A Girl - chirpy! not quite as good as Believe Again I'm afraid Ronan - wouldn't be surprised if this win - 8/10 Panik - really good actually! 9/10 How Will I Know - average ballad - 7/10 Gloria - sounds like a Kelly Clarkson production/song - shame it has a not very appealing man singing it otherwise it could have been great - 7.5/10 In A Moment Like This - generic...sounds like album filler - not bad by any means though 7/10 Only Tonight - average - can't see the Danes rushing to vote for this...very 1998 sounding production 6/10 Just Like Rain - this is very nice, the verses and production are excellent, the chorus is repetitive but good enough...8.5/10 Kæmper For Kærlighed - disco pop with strings - I'm an instant fan! like I said, it's like a turbo Danish version of Release Me! incredibly contemporary :D 10/10 Come Come Run Away - moody! reminds me of The Corrs somehow, the backing vocals/harmonies at least  very good! 9/10 as usual Denmark have a very decent final - all of these songs are well produced, not like the cheap sounding tack seen in Iceland, Malta and some Eastern countries...all of these songs are at least average, there is nothing awful and no joke entries thank goodness! Sukkerchok for the win please but I think I'd be happy with anything apart from Only Tonight and How Will I Know...
February 6, 201015 yr Based on 25 seconds clips Bryan Rice - Sound nice 8/10 Silas & Kat - Very good 10/10 Thomas Barsøe - Good enough 7/10 Sukkerchok - Very nice 10/10 Kaya Brüel - a little boring 6/10 Chanée & N'evergreen - Really nice 9/10 Simone - beautiful but boring (sounds like it going uptempo thou) 7/10 Jens Marni - Uuuh I like this! 10/10 Joakim Tranberg - blæh 6/10 MariaMatilde Band - wow ! 10/10
