Posted January 29, 201015 yr Her last album Ys made Number 41 on release in 2006 - so I believe. Her cult status has grown hugely since then and many people are anticipating that Have One on Me will be one of THE albums of 2010. It's a triple album and if the price is very high it may put some purchasers off. Where do you think it will chart when released at the end of February?
January 29, 201015 yr This is more like it... Fingers crossed for a Top 10 one of the best female artists around
January 29, 201015 yr Regina Spektor's latest got to #30 and I actually think she's bigger than Joanna Newsom, I'll go somewhere between #30 and #40.
January 29, 201015 yr Author I have this feeling that Joanna's cult following has really grown much bigger than Regina's. I mean, Pitchfork, NME, Youtube is buzzing about this album.
January 29, 201015 yr Possibly very low top 10, I'll say #10. But more realistically 15-20, about #18.
January 29, 201015 yr I can't see it getting any higher than top 20. Her last album was released to very good reviews and yet still just missed the top 40, I don't see this one appealing to many people who the didn't get the last one. How many did Ys sell in the end I wonder?
January 30, 201015 yr Author I dont think every one who got the last one got it during the week it came out. I did't. I thought it was a word of mouth album. I could be wrong.
February 17, 201015 yr Author This is going to do very poorly. Might make the Top 40. No press reviews before the release mean people may wait until afterwards and do some research before purchasing a triple album.
February 18, 201015 yr Author You have to ask yourself some questions if you haven't heard of her. What music press do you read?
