I don't know if this has already been posted or if it should be in another forum. Apologies if so :P

JLS GET JIVE: London teen pop sensations JLS are coming to the U.S. on Jive Records, who will release their first single, “Everybody In Love” on Feb. 9. The song is already getting requests at influential Top 40 station WXSS in Milwaukee. Formed in 2007, Aston, “JB,” Marvin and Oritse sold more than one million of their self-titled debut in two months, with two chart-topping hits in “Everybody in Love” and “Beat Again” after getting their start on Simon Cowell’s X Factor show in 2008. The band has already earned two prestigious MOBO awards, one recognizing them as “Best Newcomer,” and were recently nominated for three Brit Awards, including “British Breakthrough Act” and “Best British Group.” (1/27p)

What do people think of this, genuinely? Do you think they'll make it in the US? I think they have a shot but I think it depends on how they're marketed, the US have seen this sort of act many times before (and better).

Merged with the JLS topic. :P

I personally think they will be huge in the US. I've always said 'Beat Again' has the potential to be huge over there (as does 'Everybody In Love') but it'll be interesting if 'One Shot' becomes a big hit. Because as far as I know nothing of that sort of material has been that big over there (Calvin Harris sorta sound) although David Guetta has done well and he's not too dissimilar to them...

Apparently theres some sort of battle going on between Jive and Epic to sign them..

Hope they get marketed right and do well over there

I can see Everybody in Love doing well.. U.S. seem to love JR Rotem produced tracks at the moment (Replay, Whatcha say etc..)

They never sing live.

Yes they do.. you obviously dont know much about them then..

They are currently on tour singing 18 songs live a night.. sung live all throughout X Factor

Apparently its something to do with not performing the song live before its released :S.. As after EIL was released every performance they did was live

there is to be no more singles from the album i believe - think they said so on radio 1 few weeks ago.

:o Really? No reason not to release a fourth and final one

 oh.... I really love kickstart!! Would love to have seen a video for it.... Then again i was really excited for the release of one shot, and TBH the video was a BIG let down

The album has already sold over 1 million so they probably don't feel the need to continue releasing singles.. and will now concentrate on the 2nd album and releasing stateside

Would have liked Crazy to you to be a single though

^ They are both two of my favourites..

Along with Only tonight, One Shot, Dont go & Tightrope

I have a feeling after Jay Sean and now Taio, the Americans will start looking for more Brits. Such as JLS who are about to go and promote EIL. Brit-domination ftw.

Keep Her – Probably the best on the album outside of the two singles. However, I am just left wondering is this the best it can get. This track is a complete rip off of Taio Cruz.

I know this was posted months ago.. but would like to point out.. It probably sounds like a rip off of Taio Cruz because it was produced/written by him and Fraser T Smith
