Started to hate her since this whole fur thing but will give it a listen! 'Home' is great, much much better than 'Acapella'.

This might just be my favourite album of 2010 thus far.

Pretty consistent the whole way through, just pretty amazing tbf. Most definitely the highlight in Kelis' musical career so far.

its leaked in HQ..

anyway its AMAZING

home & brave need to be singles at some point.

Also i think the intro may be the song with la roux ... it sounds a lot like there kind of music.

My favourite part on the whole album has to be the 'like the phoenix from the ashes or a sunrise off in the distance, I'll try again' part in 'Emancipate'.

Just woah.

Really good album, but the segues are really pointless, she could've just shifted the end of one track onto the beginning of the next. -_-
Very good album. Consistent throughout. Agree about the segues though
The album is a bit disappointing for me. Besides Acapella, Home and 4th of July not really a standout track for me.

You just mentioned three standouts from a nine track album.

The album is surprisingly strong, could have been more fleshed out though. The segues are strangely wasted, they sound like they're going somewhere and then bam, it mixes (poorly) into another song. Oh well.

I love this album. Every song is extremely strong for me. The weakest song for me is probably 'Song For The Baby'. The segues are a bit pointless and could have been used a lot better.

Still, I completely adore this album !

She was amazing last Saturday, and she played the 'Intro' on a laser harp. <3

Well i'm listening to some music with this album in and it's on shuffle and 4th Of July comes on after that it's She's A Mess (Sugababes) and the segue totally went well with She's A Mess
It's up to #104 on the iTunes albums chart on pre-order. :cheer: Which is a good sign. :yahoo: I'm praying it's becomes her first top ten album here in the UK. The album is so amazing.

I will have to correct myself. My favourites are absolutely Brave and Intro.

The whole album would get a 3.5/5 star from me, 'cause the segue's are poorly done and because Scream, Emancipate and Song for the Baby are quite a bore.

i am starting to think the 3 bonus tracks are actually the extra US tracks, since none of them have leaked and there is no news about them on any sites.

I dont think this will go top 10 but it definitely deserves to. in fact, it should be number 1 based on the actual music, its a shame that albums like boyzone and paulo nutini do, but amazing albums like this and Rated R do sh*t.

I also love how all 4 (maybe 5 soon) of her albums are critically acclaimed :)

also, when the hell is the itunes version gonna leak, i want seperate segues :| wasnt it released to irish itunes on friday??

The way some of the tracks rapidly fade out upsets me greatly, songs should never fade out. :(
Spectacular. Simply amazing, and by far the best album she's done in her career. I can't even pick a favourite track.

I agree with the "can't pick a favourite track" aspect. They're all pretty good, though "Emancipate" is my least favourite and I don't count "Intro" as a track. The fact that it's so consistent means it should easily be my favourite Kelis album, but I don't think it will be.

I'm not sure what it is, maybe I find it easier to warm to R&B sounds than I do Dance (probably), but I think I prefer "Kaleidoscope" as a a whole. I prefer a handful of tracks from this to anything on "Kaleidoscope", so I can't quite explain why? Perhaps it's also because without the intro and segues it'd be about 30 minutes of music which, as amazing as it is, is lazy.

Amazing album, one of my favourites from 2010 probably along with ''Animal'' and ''Lights''. I think ''Brave'', ''Acapella'' and ''Home'' (which is just stunning btw) are my faves. But it's very consistent I feel, well done Kelis! I've got a feeling it could do fairly well too.
