Jedward could fall from Top10 by Monday already. Well, it was predicted. Next week they might stay Top10 though, because of the physicals.

 

On the other note: Parachute is Top40, I think it is able to get Top10 at last (with the physical release) if it is lucky.

 

Amy Macdonald... what's up with her? It seems the single is going to flop. :( I doubt now it will go even Top40 by 1st March (physical release). With no strong single even the album might underperform with the release week with Gorillaz and Sugababes (all three albums are unpredictable though).

 

Timbaland, Kesha and Rihanna are going to be in the Top10 forever with their second singles, so is Owl City with his first.

 

JLS with One Shot might get out from Top10 by their physical release, but the fanbase buying will get them back into the Top10 after all, at least officially.

 

Simon Cowell's song seems to be another long Top10 runner.

 

Tbh Alicia and Glee are also very strong and I'm really worried about 21st of February: with all of these songs which don't seem to go away + Leona's physical release I can see some (if not almost all) new releases underperforming dreadfully. :( I can see only 2 (max 3) new Top10 entries that week.

ha the jedward song is doing terribly imo - they will peak at no3 this week - fall to no10 or so next week and then climb to about no7 with the physical release - i thoughht it would have been no1 this week and sold loads!!

 

i wonder if owlcitys sales will rise for the 4th week in a row?will they sell more than 80k this week? i predict they will - around 85-90k.

 

record companies really need to synchronise the release dates of the videos and the cd/dload now - so they can peak as high as possible with singles - jls peaked last week imo - with all the other releases they may fall before the cd release and then stagnate selling the same amount for a couple of weeks until they fall in march!!

As for new releases, 'Number One Enemy' Daisy Dares You and 'Wear My Kiss' Sugababes are doing really well in the iTunes video chart at the mo (#2 and #6 respectively), so the chances of them to get Top10 are very high, but Ellie Goulding and Jason DeRulo among the others make the competition even more tough.

 

Hopefully Alphabeat will push their release back/forward, they will flop on 22nd.

The difference being I actually agree about 'On A Mission'. My gut instict all along was that 'Echo' would be a top 20 hit and nothing more. However, if 'On A Mission' is released next week it doesn't stand a chance of no. 1 against 'Everybody Hurts'. Gabriella Cilmi's record company should hold it back for at least a fortnight - build up more interest/airplay in the track and then attempt for no. 1 after Helping Haiti has had a fortnight at no. 1 and sales for the track start to plummet.

On the genius side bar click on Top Songs that should take you to the top songs; right click on the heading bar and tick ‘popularity’, then re-size that column to any size you wish.

I saw the video twice yesterday morning. First on The Box, then flicking through the music channels it was being played on VH-1 about 3 minutes later.

If not the stupid EH stupid cover (that ruins a MASTERPIECE) T and K could be number 1 next week.
