43 Duffy 'Mercy' - 462 points (23 voters, 16th in Heat 2)

UK Chart Run: {1}-1-1-1-1-2-3-5-6-8-9-11-12-18-21-22-21-26-26-32-33-33-32-39-48-45-50-55-57-53-56-62-59-54-66-73-66R(5)-72-42R(4)-44-57-72-60R(5)-71->44

Duffy certainly came about at the right time, riding on the soul influenced female pop wave created by Amy Winehouse. She did extrmely well in 2008 but it wouldn't surprise me that if, like Mika, she was just very 'of the moment'.

With regards to your comment on Duffy: I hope so.

Dakota and Another Chance should both be much higher.

Some of the results are surprising me though - I assumed being BJ that "Everytime" and "Don't Stop Moving" would be a lot higher.

I'm assuming we're in for a GA/Sugababes dominated top 20.

So, into the top half....

Erm, 84/2 = 42 ?

42 Girls Aloud 'The Promise' - 503 points (23 voters, Wildcard Entry :o (22nd) in Heat 2)

UK Chart Run: {1}-2-3-6-7-10-15-20-19-14-15-25-37-42-46-50-58-39-41-59-56-62-72->23

Yes, if I'd just included the top 20 from each heat as qualifiers then BuzzJack's favourite girls would not have qualified!! It did almost make me not want to go with the Wildcard idea, I have to admit. It's weird where there are big points gaps, 40 points less this would still have finished 42nd, 40 points more it wold be 32nd...

Oh f*** no.

completely agree about MCR - I knew it was going to #1 the first time I heard it because it was such a different epic sounding song by a band who's comeback was very hyped in the media - it's just a shame that between the brilliance of the first minute and a half and the last minute was three minutes that didn't interest me in the slightest...

41 Christina Aguilera ft Redman 'Dirrty' - 506 points (25 voters, 9th in Heat 2)

UK Chart Run: {1}-1-3-6-10-19-32-45-60->9

Another female solo artist who's got a lot of fans on BuzzJack. Although she does also, especially with this, have her 'haterz' too. Personally I think it's fantastic pop, although I could see why people wouldn't like it. It's very in your face and her image was hardly favourable.

Gorillaz still to come, both of Eminem's still to come, I Gotta Feeling still to come = YEAH!!
I wasn't a fan of Dirrty in all honesty but it was way ahead of its time, along with the rest of Stripped - I honestly believe that a handful of albums from that era (Stripped/Justified/Missundaztood) changed the direction of commercial pop music - everything was getting dangerously bland and watered down in 2002 before these three albums shifted the landscape...

Surprised that both LY and Stan are top 40 :o

Anyway, that's two of my 20-pointers form the heats gone - I'm Not Alone and Welcome To The Black Parade (how the hell did that get so high? :o). Still to come are what is by far the best #1 of the decade (Viva La Vida :wub: :wub: :wub:) and the still-amazing-but-not-so-much DARE (:wub:)

Anyway, Dakota :wub: Amazing song by a band who aren't that amazing. 'Innocent' from their recent album is their second best single.

Do you have a list of what's left?

And I rather like 'Dirrty' as long as I don't have to see the video though sadly it's one of those memory things where you always imagine her looking all skanky and digusting when you hear the track. :(

Dire mixed with some good songs in the last 20. I hate Can't Fight The Moonlight (still don't know how it got to no.1 almost 10 years on), Just A Little, Where Is The Love? and Welcome To The Black Parade. Love Don't Stop Movin' (their best & most respectable song, and it's held up way better than most of their back catalogue), I'm Not Alone, It Feels So Good (hated it at the time 'cos it kept S Club 7 - Reach off no.1 - lol at 9 year old me :(), Mad World (another song I hated at the time, until the last 2 or so years actually), Mercy and Dirrty. The rest are okay but I can do without them.

Do people want to see what's left? I have been following what songs are still to come, but don't want to put it up if people would rather wait in anticipation at the surprise element.

40 Lady GaGa 'Just Dance' - 508 points (25 voters, 1st in Heat 1)

UK Chart Run: 3-{1}-1-1-2-2-2-2-6-8-11-12-13-13-15-18-19-22-24-25-32-35-41-46-45-51-51-46-44-46-48-50-55-62-67-74-75R(3)-67R(13)-54-72->40

Yes, this got more points than anything else in the first heat. I thought that if this won then the final would be hugely dominated by GaGa seeing as this generally seen as the weakest of her three number ones. For some reason, people didn't vote for it anywhere near as much in the final and it just scrapes a top 40 position.
