Alright set of episodes last night - nothing spectacular; as usual the acting is poor in all areas (and seems to be scripted more like a comedy show), and I agree with Jark that Frank's murder all played out just like Archie's did for EastEnders (which, if you actually looked at the official viewing figures Norma, are around about the same for both...).

Oh and I immediately thought that Carla had done it, but that may've been too obvious - the lineup shown on This Morning yesterday featured Kevin, Sally, Carla, Peter and Leanne as the suspects.

I'm quite convinced the mother did it.

Have it as you will about the acting - even on a bad day - its still way ahead of EE at the moment (EE - really has gone down the pipes at the moment. Too much emphasis on the young uninteresting characters with nada between their ears and not enough of the older characters). It may be better next week when Tanya does her 'lets bore for England' routine.

Everyone on DS seem to think Anne was the murderer, I think she would have overheard what frank said to Carla...

apparently the murder attempts to murder again, what would be beyond stupid!

My initial feeling since the storyline was announced is that it was Anne, we'll see :)

To be honest - I'm a bit annoyed that Frank has been killed off this quickly. I really liked him! I mean I wouldn't want to date or go into partnership with him, but as a character - he did the job! Everyone I know who watches the show thinks is his mother that's killed him.

I'm loving so many Corrie characters at the moment. Gail is fast becoming my favourite - especially when she's doing her 'lush' act - or when she's scaring the pants off a food critic!

As I say - my only disappointment is the ridiculous Eileen/dementia story - in bad taste and its going nowhere.

The Frank storyline was good and enjoyed the business partner twist but the actual episode he got killed in was a huge disapointment, i had hoped carla would have got more clearance before the murder as in see franks world start to collide but that aside it was a good storyline and i definitly think its anne that done it as none of the others are leaving the show.

The thing i hate about these who dunnits is the gap between the murder til we find out, while i loved the who killed archie build up (eastenders)and the reveal i wasnt as keen on the gaps inbetween so corrie will be the same and the endless finger pointing will go on for weeks although nothing will be as bad as waiting for who murdered Toim King in Emmerdale it just seemed endeless at the time and was dragged out so long no one ended up caring. I dont like Carla or maybe i should say im not overly keen on her as an actress but i do like Sally Webster and find her a far better actress and enjoyed her recent scenes.

Im a big EastEnders fan and i do admit it certainly isnt at its best its certainly not at its worst, but there is too much emphasis on the younger charactors which isnt what eastenders is about, but all the soaps go through bad patches corrie included its just eastenders in my opinion gets hit heavier by the press when they go through a lull, the press has highlighted the ratings but up until 2 weeks ago eastenders and corrie were still quiet close and eastenders had some episodes with higher ratings, while in aspects this is irrelvant i think the press should treat them fairly but that will never happen as some of them just love to slate eastenders regardless. As a fan of eastenders i am hoping it gets a new executive producer soon as bryan kirkwood in my opinion has really reserached the charactors where the producer of corries seems to have done his research very well.

I'm glad Corrie wrapped this up quite quickly and didn't drag it out like some shows do (also glad that the killer did turn out to be Anne - as most of us predicted). Gwen Taylor has been pretty awful during her stay in Corrie - but last night there were a few minutes of a scene with Sally Dynevor (when Anne's clutching the watch) which reminded me of how good an actress she once was.

As ever - Gail, David and Kylie provided the best fun of the night.

Enjoying Corrie a lot at the moment. I don't mind the Lesley storyline, but it's probably my least favourite of the current ones.

Really pleased Natalie Gumede won Best Newcomer at the Soap Awards, shes been great so far ^_^ She tweeted me the other week think I'm getting a bit of a thing for her :kink:

I just caught up with Friday's episode today ... Sally's scene with Kevin was brilliant. Sally Dynevor is one of the best actresses around at the moment. Its a shame that she's so satisfied and grateful to be in this one show as I'd love to see what she could do in other things.

What happened with the dementia storyline? It was still ongoing before I went on holiday, and now I haven't heard anything about Paul or Leslie since coming back!
She would never work again! Dreadful one note harridan.

That's one note more than any of the actors or actresses in EE at present. EE - what an incredible cure for insomnia!

Thank god they appear to have knocked that storyline on the head. Terribly performed and in incredibly bad taste!

Paul decided that Lesley should go to a care home so she went and we haven't heard anything since. I think the conclusion of the storyline is week beginning May 7th to go alongside BGT lives I think!

Funny write up for Coronation Street in the Mirror today by Jane Simon.

'Since splitting up with Nick, Eva's outfits seem calculated to give Tina McIntyre a run for her money for Soap's Sexiest Female Next Year.

So she's devastated when Nick isn't interested. She's even angrier when she find out why. Nick's still in love with Leanne - a woman whose best cardigan has got little ponies on it.'

I actually liked tonight's episode (especially Gayle, and Mary & Norris) but I'm really getting annoyed at Eileen now - I mean all that kissy-kissy stuff with the fireman bloke is enough to make me choke on my tea!

The Sunita and Karl unraveling of the affair storyline i believe will be great, Stella will go absolutly mental when she learns of everything. I would say they will go with this storyline for the Christmas storyline.

I really like Karl (even though he does come across as a bit sleazy) I don't really find Sunita entirely convincing as a femme fatale though.

I'm loving Mary at the moment. I'm afraid seeing Eileen and the Fireman together is making me sick though!

And where has Brian gone???? I want to see more of Brian and Julie!
