My god Leanne's a waste of space. The more I see her the more I like Eva.

That was explosive! I actually thought it was a bit much and having witnessed quite a bit of domestic violence as a child, I found it quite difficult to watch...
I was cringing when Fiz came out at the end, just in case Kirsty came out or looked out the window!

"Oh, must be Gay Pride or something!" Beth so needs to be up for Best Comedy Act at the British Soap Awards!
Beth is hilarious and will definitely stand a chance of winning best comedy performance at the soap awards. Last nights episode was very good, i really felt sorry for Tyrone, he is so desperate for his daughter but yet highly vulnerable. Tyrone is one of those lovable lads that any mother would be proud to have him as a son which makes it harder to see him getting treated so badly. The domestic violence is a great storyline but i feel they have weakened it by having Tyrone and Fiz having an affair. In my opinion the storyline would stand up much better without the affair element. When the domestic violence storyline ends they could have used his relationship with Fiz to restore his faith in women and relationships again.

I agree with you entirely Pippa. The best bar-none storyline in a soap is getting a bit 'cheesified' with the totally unnecessary Fiz/Tyrone romance. It would have been better if they'd explored the Tyrone / Tina / Tommy storyline further. Or better still - just had Tyrone face his demon (Kirsty) alone - as most victims of this kind of abuse have to.

I loved tonight's episode. I'm so glad that Leanne got what was coming to her - Eva was right to call it as it was. The only said thing is that we just know that Soppy Leanne will get Nick back eventually and Kylie will be the one to suffer.
It was Carla's Miss Havisham line that slayed me.

There were so many little throwaway lines like that throughout though (although I agree - that was particularly good!) :P

Troubled schoolgirl turned screen siren Sarah-Louise Platt is set to make an explosive return to Coronation Street as actress Tina O'Brien has signed a new contract with the soap.

The 29-year-old actress – whose character hit the headlines when she fell pregnant aged just 13, played Sarah-Louise for eight years before quitting Weatherfield in 2007 – is to reprise her role in the ITV1 soap in the new year along with her onscreen daughter Bethany, who is now 13.

A 'Coronation Street' source said: 'Sarah-Louise’s pregnancy was an absolutely massive story and was a ratings winner for Corrie. It’s amazing to think it was 13 years ago now.

'She was an extremely popular character, so it’s a masterstroke to bring both her and Bethany back.'

Sarah-Louise will be kept busy by Bethany – who is expected to be portrayed by a new actress - and she is set to clash with her brother David's (Jack P. Shepherd) wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane).

The source added to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: 'What makes the move even more intriguing is the fact Bethany will be the same age at Sarah-Louise when she fell pregnant. She will prove to be a real handful, just like her mum was. It really is like history repeating itself.

Troubled past: Bethany will now be 13 when she returns, the same age as Sarah-Lou when she became pregnant

'Sarah-Louise hasn’t turned into a wallflower either, and she is going to have some major battles with Kylie because she doesn’t like the way she treats David.'

The decision to bring Sarah-Louise back is said to have been made by new 'Coronation Street' producer Stuart Blackburn, who is taking over the role from Phil Collinson.

Very much looking forward to

that return!!!

:cheer:

Yay at

Britney's Sarah's return! There's been a lot of rumours about it so it's nice to see something confirmed.

Good decision on her part as well, the role could have easily been re cast which would have been a disaster for her.
Very much looking forward to

that return!!!

:cheer:

I'll wait and see what its like. She was a good character while THAT storyline was going but after that I thought the actress really wasn't stretched at all.

Gail really can't stand Leanne can she?

What on earth gave you that impression? :P

Loving Gail right now. And also very happy that

---Sunita--- is leaving, she and Karl

are boring the hell out of me.
