If true ... I'm actually VERY glad. The character has never worked for me (although)

the consistently excellent writing (and never veering from character) of Roy has made that relationship (within its soap context) believable

Re tonight's episode ... what the hell is wrong with lying? Just when Nick was being made out to be the nice guy he actually suggests abortion (his usual fall-back quick fix) to Kylie.

I have enjoyed the Tyrone and Kirsty storyline but i hope they do not ruin it bt dragging it on forever. I would prefer it to be revealed what Tyrone went through with Kirsty and then have Kirsty as a mad stalker making his life with Fiz hell before Kirsty eventually is lead off to a mental institution for much needed help. The Lewis and Gail storyline i also like and i like they will conclude it rather than dragging it out.

I enjoyed the Tyrone / Kirsty storyline - up until they felt the need to have 'an affair' in it with Fiz. For me it undermined an already excellent story that was being perfectly played. I found Tyrone confiding in Tina much more satisfying (for an outlet of his pain) than have him jumping into bed with Fiz. It really would have been good (and restored people's faith in the medical / councelling profession) if they'd had Kirsty seek help - and it WORK. But I suppose that wouldn't have made good drama.

I don't think you need worry too much Pippa - I think this story is going to be wrapped up in the next week or so. I've liked this story too (silly as it is) but it really doesn't deserve to have too much time spent on it.

So glad that Corrie got the best soap award at the NTA's tonight (thoroughly deserved - even if it has largely been the Kirsty / Tyrone storyline carrying it). If I'm honest though - I think I'd have preferred Natalie to get the best newcomer at the sacrifice of the soap - because not only is she the best newcomer in anything this year - she's one of the best actresses on TV at the moment.

Corrie on top comedic form tonight. The whole Gail/Audrey/Lewis thing was done to perfection. I just wish Lewis had quoted Khan from STTWOK and said 'Revenge is a dish best served cold'. Superbly played by all.

No wonder it won Best Soap at the NTA's (even though the NTA's don't stand for diddly) Corrie leaves everything else standing these days.

Actually Hollyoaks is considerably better, but fair dues to Corrie, this Gail/Lewis story has been fabulous and the reveal really delivered. The Platts are a great family unit.

In all honesty Jark I've not been into Hollyoaks for a good few years - although hubby does still enjoy it.

The Gail/Lewis/Audrey storyline in Corrie (as ludicrous as it is) has been brilliantly played though. I do think that Jack P Shepherd deserves some praise for his input as well.

I really enjoyed the Lewis storyline but hated the execution of the conclusion, it was a huge let down in many ways. That said, i was happy for Audrey when she got the flowers as i think she just so badly needed to believe her truly did love her.

I loved the conclusion of the story ... and I'm glad they didn't drag this out for too long. The only problem was for me - with Friday night's double episode being such a blinder - Monday's was such a let-down. I don't care about Maria's household problems (although the rat in the bra was quite funny), I don't care about Tyrone anymore - he's just so stupid he almost deserves to go to prison. I want to smack Julie and kick Sally up the arse.

I want more David, Kylie, Roy and Roy's mum.

Tyrone is in the annoying stage and will remain so until the storyline concludes, i think it is going to be very drawn out though which will ruin what was a great storyline. Maira is just boring her storylines never interest me and the Rob and Tracey storyline is just here we go again and again and again, every Tracey relationship is the same and its so annoying. But Sylvia is back which is truly great.

Waterloo Road's actress Katie McGlynn - who plays Jodie "Scout" Allen - is to play Beth's niece who will take a fancy to Chesney and appear sometime in the spring.

Natalie Gumede has confirmed she is leaving her role as Kirsty Soames. She finishes filming next week. :(

Excellent news but don't think that's really a spoiler.

Bit of a hit-and-miss (or maybe even a 'meh') episode for me tonight. Best bit being Julie's reaction to Eileen's excitement of the 'whipped delight' dessert she had in mind (or more rather what Julie imagined she was going to do with it!)

Cannot abide Faye! One of the most hideous, despicable kids in a soap for a long time. The young actors that portray Sunita's kids though - especially the daughter - are brilliant!

Just when I was hoping that Jenna and Sophie should go ... they together with the ever wonderful Sally provided the best scene of the night.

Followed closely by Gloria's (re Jason moving in) 'has he brought his Lego?'

Brilliant set of episodes tonight

Just gutted about Sunita :(

I also really enjoyed this episode, haven't seen a full episode in a while, but i'll be sure to watch this week. I do feel sorry for Sunita, hope she doesn't get the blame for everything.

Sunita is a stupid selfish cow who even now still blames everyone else for the mess she's in and expects Dev to look after her despite admitting she doesn't love him (!?). She and Karl were made for each other.

The episode was a bit shit, like all fire episodes in soap.

I agree about Sunita being a stupid, selfish cow.

And yet ... even at its very worst - Coronation Street is MILES better than Eastenders. Even hubby has given up on EE now. He used to record Corrie, EE and Emmerdale - now its down to just Corrie and Emmerdale.

The fire is just a side story for me though. Its next week I'm looking forward to when

Kirsty hits Julie and they begin to see her for her true self.

I love it in a soap when everyone realises they were wrong about someone.

Very disappointed that Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) has confirmed she is leaving next year as she was one of my favourite characters! :(

On the other hand, I loved Katie McGlynn in her first episodes last night as Sinead!

Sinead was good! Not particularly arsed about Michelle Keegan, she always has such miserable storylines don't think I'd miss her.
