I think it'll be back Monday and edited over the weekend so we don't see the gun or any shooting.

What a NIGHTMARE for ITV. What will they do? Unless they air them back to back in some sort of marathon this weekend (which doesn't seem likely given that they were pushed because of the recent events being fresh in peoples' minds) then they're going to have to scrap them completely, and then the storyline won't make sense to viewers when it resumes next week, not to mention that ITV will have lost practically a million quid and will probably never agree to fund a big event like this again.

Times confirmed:

ITV this afternoon announced its schedules for the remaining episodes of Coronation Steet's Siege Week.

The shelved fourth episode of the week - which should have aired on Wednesday evening - will now transmit on Monday (July 7) evening at 7.30pm. Yesterday's episode, meanwhile, will air the same night at 8.30pm.

The climax to SIege Week - which was meant to air this evening - will be broadcast on Wednesday (June 9) as part of an hour-long screening, which will take in the episode which was due to air at 7.30pm on Monday evening.

Monday's second episode - due to air at 8.30pm - is now shunted to Thursday (June 10) and will be attached to that evening's scheduled episode in another 60-minute screening from 8pm.

Coronation Street schedules then return to normal from Friday, June 11.

An ITV spokesperson said: "We apologise to ITV1 viewers for the interruption to this week's Coronation Street scheduling but, against the backdrop of Wednesday’s tragic events in Cumbria, it would have been inappropriate to broadcast these episodes this week."

Monday, June 7

7.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Should have aired on Wednesday, June 2 at 9pm

8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Should have aired on Thursday, June 3 at 9pm

8pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Should have aired on Monday, June 7 at 8.30pm

8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Is airing at its normal time. At this point, Corrie is back in sync.

Yes, ITV have apologised for a "continuity announcement error" before the 1.30pm news.

How can they jail Gail (see, I'm a poet) when Helen Worth isn't getting written out of the show? They couldn't possibly continue longterm with a jail storyline... Deidre was longest, but they surely won't do it again?

I loved Tony saying to Hayley to "take it like a man" last night :P

I preferred his 'revenge is a dish best served flambed!' I love Tony!

I thought it was all a bit pants actually. As soon as she was out (and still in daylight) Hayley had told the police that Tony had doused the place with petrol .... at which point you would have thought the fire-brigade would be at hand at the first sign of a match striking ... and yet you only got a glimpse of the fire engine well after the fire had took hold. The whole story was only saved by the brilliant Gray O'Brien and Alison King.

I loved Kirk (was that copper really eating one of Kirk's Wagon Wheels?)

Time to get rid of John, Fiz and Chesney.

Edit : .... and Maria!

WOW. Just watched the first episode of last night - absolutely FANTASTIC. I was just beginning to think Eastenders was FAR AND AWAY better than Corrie, but just when I think that, Coronation Street go ahead and give us something like that - the acting from Gray + Alison was absolutely sublime...although, you'd think they'd have evacuated the street once they knew there was a killer on the street.

Anyway, superb.

hahaa i know yeah no one seemed to really care other than becki! and what was with maria just walking into the pub really slowly? i would have been straight in there and on the phone to the police! though maybe she was still in shock..?

Is it me or has it just skipped an episode?! Have I missed one, it ended with Gail at court, and now there's Gail washing windows?
