Posted February 8, 201015 yr http://www.clickmusic.com/images/uploads/wearescientists300.jpg We Are Scientists have announced that they will release their comeback single on April 5. The single will be named 'Barbara' and will the first to be taken from their forthcoming new album, 'Rules', set for release in June. Keith Murray and Chris Cain have recruited former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows for the album. "We wanted a drummer who we would get along with and who would bring a good energy to the recording," Cain told NME.COM. Other songs set for 'Rules' include 'I Don't Bite' and 'Foreign Kicks'. The album will be the band's third – the follow-up to their 2008 effort 'Brain Thrust Mastery'. We Are Scientists play a sold-out show at London's Hoxton Bar And Grill on February 23. February 8, 201015 yr Quite excited about this, but 'Brain Thrust Mastery' was a bit of a let-down really. I'd love another 'After Hours' though.
February 8, 201015 yr Saw someone post about this on twitter. Again should be alright, hope they come out with a mega-tune again :)
February 8, 201015 yr sort of knew this was coming anyway, BTM was good but incomparable to WLAS and SFAL(ITO), but never know they could regain their amazingness, rather than just their goodness. looking forward to it anyway. hopefully they will tour the uk and give me dates available to make me beat jamesp in our competition, it's 3-3 so far. any word on if Max is still with them?
February 25, 201015 yr first single 'Rules Dont Stop' http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/zanelowe/2010/0...re_scienti.html (P.S I think W.A.S were taking the p*** to NME for that news story, the album is called 'Barbara', not the single).
February 25, 201015 yr Author Saw the album cover earlier but can't get back onto where I was. Anyway, quite like the first single :)
February 25, 201015 yr I do like 'Rules Dont Stop' quite a bit, still think the album will be weak though, im hoping for a back on form, but I can see it being worse than BTM (dont get me wrong I like BTM but it's nothing compared to WLAS), my mate was working at NME a few weeks ago and heard the album and said it was $h!t. but i do trust his opinon too far.
February 25, 201015 yr Saw the album cover earlier but can't get back onto where I was. Saame. All I remember was that it was red and had a sword on it. Quite liked it though. I really hope this album isn't $h!t. Although I've only listened to it a couple of times, I prefer 'Rules Don't Stop' to most of BTM tbh, so I'm hoping I'll prefer the album as a whole too.
February 25, 201015 yr I'm actually in love with 'Rules Don't Stop' now. Their best single in agesss.
February 26, 201015 yr album cover: http://wearescientists.com/sci-cave/splash_img/album.jpg I couldn't get it without the logo at the top, sorry! Really like its simplicity. Much better than the BTM cover imo.
March 8, 201015 yr beat me to it. anyway here is a description of the video: "With the budget of a 30 Seconds To Mars clip, the raw fx firepower of James Cameron's Avatar, and the intensively rehearsed, flawless timing of an OKGO video, the new music vid from We Are Scientists proves once and for all that rules ahem truly do not stop these New York City dynamos. "
March 8, 201015 yr Hahaha the video's amazing! I've come to the conclusion that this is now my favourite WAS single too. The part from 1:40 - 1:54 is epic.
