Dad sets up GaGa and Britney

IN her short career LADY GAGA has already teamed up with chart greats including BEYONCE, the PET SHOP BOYS and ELTON JOHN.

But she's got her dad JOSEPH to thank for her latest collaboration - with pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS.

GaGa took her old man along as a guest when she attended the Grammys recently.

And when the singer nipped to the loo at one of the bash's aftershow parties, Joseph wasted no time bowling up to Britney to tell her his daughter is her biggest fan.

Normally, this would be an embarrassing dad crime of the highest order, but not in GaGa land.

She turned it into an opportunity for the pair to hook up in the studio.

A source said: "GaGa has made no secret of just how much of a Britney fan she is.

"She has even admitted she used to have posters of her on her wall and she was a great source of inspiration when she was a struggling songwriter.

"She was delighted when she found her dad chatting away to Britney at the party.

"He introduced them and the three of them were locked in conversation for ages.

"At the end of the chat, they exchanged numbers and agreed to go into the studio and work on music together as soon as GaGa finishes her Fame Monster tour."

I'd be interested to see what these two come up with.

When Britney got together with MADONNA at the VMAs in 2003, that kiss ended up being one of the most memorable moments in VMA history.

So with GaGa in the mix, anything could happen...
