February 20, 201015 yr Author Hmm. I'm not sure what I think about this final yet. Some songs I'm gutted to see out, but others I'm glad to see go through. (as usual) To demonstrate the contrast in semis. In one, the 14th placed song (and qualifer) only received enough points to finish 19th in the other semi and only got four more than the song that finished last. But the leader in this balanced semi only got enough points to finish 6th in the other one. *hopes he hasn't said too much* :x

February 20, 201015 yr I reckon SF2 is the more balanced one, because there's more indie entries, and they are all fighting for the same points... maybe that should be the other way round...
February 21, 201015 yr I agree, semi 2 is drowning in choice for the indie lovers, and like I said before, I really do think the sheer volume of them will have massively diluted the potential of some of them...I have a suspicion that there will be uproar tonight when 'throwaway pop' qualifies from semi 2 by default over some of the hyped indie entries purely because the pop voters will have had little else to vote for. I did a mock vote for myself had I been in Semi 2 and I really would have only been happy awarding points to the top five, the other five would have been to make up the numbers. In my semi though, I really only feel like I scraped the barrel with the 1 pointer :heehee:

I think either way there'll be some disappointment at what goes through. If it's Pop we'll have the indie voters upset at how 'pop crap' made it over some 'stunning indie' and vice versa if the qualifiers are actually rather indie. All I know is one thing, it would appear you guys are in for an exciting contest. The semis were so split into pop one side and indie on the other that I can't even tell who will win and I've got the semi results right in front of me! :lol:
