February 18, 201015 yr Surely though you can only judge how well an album will do after a year of sales not a few months.Neither Lady Gaga or Beyonce with their most recent releases sold well initially but now they are both slightly over one million if I am not mistaken.Normally the difference is a single that connects with the audience and just because Happy did not do that Echo still has better singles.
February 18, 201015 yr Alanis Morissette could possibly be added to the list. her second album did not do as well, although it sold around 8 or so million, people were expecting it to match the huge success of Jagged Little Pill and sell over 30 million. she has never matched that success even though her albums have improved greatly. also natasha Bedingfield, N.B was a flop compared to her debut. Dannii Minogue's debut Love & Kisses did reasonably well but Get Into You failed to make top 50
