Then you'd have to listen to even worse tuneless singing!

Yes, I know. Even so, they would be UK top 5, UK number 1. :kink:

I love this thread as much as everyone here does! :) So.... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at:

1)Will Young just because

2)Alexandra Burke because I hate her talking and personality

3)Cheryl Cole because she is amazingly overrated this year, athough I don't mind her miming -no offence but imagine her trying to sing!

4)Robbie and Take that for playing the join and breakup game again and again though both are talented and successful.

5)All US-kind annoying rappers that flood the charts

6)Mariah because I never had the chance to see her live when she was ace and now she's fading...

7)Fergie because she's married

8)Whitney for making the worst comeback ever

and this list is far from ever  (although I like some of these artists)

More Hate- Tinie Tempah! :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: How this may top the charts I will never know- how inexplicably dire

btw I dont neccesarily hate rap, Its just its so dire at the moment

Totally in agreement with you here ... Take That are getting on my tit greatly. With one simple 'it will never happen' they'd vastly increase their popularity. With Robbie ... I'm not sure which is worse ... his bloody awful 'smugness' before ... or his new-found 'desperation' (which is false ... as we all know that he still thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread ... when he is just an extremely successful Karaoke act.) His 'false-modesty' is annoying and Take That's 'we're 'best buddies' is a pile of crap! They HATE each other still!

If there is a 'reunion' I hope it backfires on both sides and they both slip into oblivion!

Edit ... please can we have some more Take That / Robbie bashing here? The Leona V Will one is extremely boring.

^ well Take That haven't done anything to offend my ears as of late, so I'll say that Robbie's "Morning sun" is quite dire.

But Take That haven't done anything recently ... period! I agree about the Robbie single ... although the song itself is marginally better than the video ... through which the 'cheeky chappie's' smugness still prevails despite his protestations of modesty.

Oh Norma I always wanted to ask you why do you hate Robbie and here's the answer, you're reading my mind, thank you!

I have never posted here because I don't really HATE any artist. I try to get the things as they are. The more appropriate would be the fact that I dislike some commercial moves promoting one or another artist (press coverage, releasing 5 versions of albums with just different covers, overexposure, releasing cheap covers etc. etc.). Also I can't listen to some types of music, but then again, it's nothing with the artists: they can release the horrid song after the masterpiece.

I don't actually hate Robbie if I'm honest. I just look in utter disbelief upon his (apart from the States) universal success ... when for me ... he is little more than a Cliff Richard for the 90's and 00's. In fact ... Cliff probably had a little more originality! If I'm honest ... I admire Robbie Williams greatly for making a massive amount of money out of a very modest talent. I mean ... the song that 'made him' ... he doesn't even credit his original co-writer ... who (so it is recorded) was paid £7,500 to relinquish any rights to a credit. I'm talking Angels of course (even though we all know the song is crap ... it is generally acknowledged as the song that did 'do it' for him). Ray Heffernan must be cursing the day he agreed to that pay-off.

Take That ... are just annoying me now ... especially Gary Barlow.

As I've treated this thread with the same empathy that Paul Weller treated a moronic interview recently by mockingly criticising two early 1990s musical movements who both feature two main players who feature on his next (10th) album ... then in that spirit I have to post this hilarious video....

That's worst than Celine Dion doing AC/DC!!

I saw that ages ago and lauged my bosoms off! Mind you ... it is a f***ing awful song to begin with ... so it is far less annoying than them destroying the memory of the Beatles with their dreadful Beatles medleys (which thankfully ... they've now dropped from their set). Either way ... it is more entertaining than Rob's godawful 'Swing' time ... there is nothing more cringe-worthy than watching a young man trying to be a 60 odd year old crooner who's half on the way to the grave through booze and cigarettes.

And to even up ... here's Robbie dressing up as an adult complete with sensible spectacles in his homage to Oasis. Agreed ... not as embarrassing as the Take That / Nirvana crap ... but it did make me laugh.

I think its the vague attempt at air-guitar which is the funniest ... plus that bloody awful coat he's wearing ... Rob ... you should have worn a Parka!

I like this ... the Leona/Will posts were getting so tiresome!

Edited by Norma_Snockers

It is so sad to see Rap music reduced to the rubbish that is Bedrock.Whatever happened to the Glory days of Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Eric B and Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and the late Tupac and Biggie.I blame P-diddy and 50 cent for turning rap music into what it is today.Other than the occasionally good song from Snoop and Busta Rhymes it has really gone downhill.I really hope by R & B singers you are not talking about the likes of Jason deRulo and Iyaz, they are so not R & B.
Wow, Norma. As if your Robbie-bashing posts couldn't get any more tiresome... "it is more entertaining than Rob's godawful 'Swing' time'..." LOL. I know it's your own opinion and I respect that, but Rob's 'Swing' album is critically acclaimed and shows off his voice extremely well; in comparrison to that lolable 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' cover by Take That, Christ. I don't think I've actually heard anything so awful in my life.

Don't missunderstand me, I like Robbie and I like some of the re-united take that pop ballads. But I DONT see how (besides a lot of noise and publicity) would a full reunion

benefit any of them or music at all... Robbie has been greatly succesful since he left take that and he has a wider repertoire , which will definitely not match with TT (but is what made him popular and what people like him for). Also TT had phenomenal success without him sunce their reunion, so obviously they don't need him. if they want to be 'friends' thats fine with me, but why does this mean they have to be in the same band? Can you imagine Rob going back to singing back-vocals for Gary? Or TT standing still smiling in their shy way and clapping while Robbie is entertaining? Or even worse 5 Rock DJs? The great hype this possible future reunion is getting is just a media game (they will start hoping of a new Gary-Robbie fight after that) Musically it would be a sad lose-lose situation for TT and Rob.

(my fav TT songs are their new ones without Robbie and my fav Robbie's songs are those that would never be in the bands repertoire)

BTW I think Morning sun is ace, the best song from RKTVS

Maybe so ... but both Robbie Williams and Take That could put a cork in all of the speculation but they both obviously think 'any publicity is good publicity' so they don't. They're just as guilty as the media. They obviously don't realise how boring it (and they) have become by it all. They therefore deserve, unreseverdly, to be in this 'bashing' thread!

Bash on!

Norma

Well I'm rather a Robbie Williams fan. But the Take That thing pisses me off greatly - as has been said, they're both hugely successful in their own right and I don't want Robbie to rejoin with them. Fantastic if Garry Barlow is his "new best mate" but please just leave it at that - and PLEASE don't release just five tracks together. I'd just find that pathetic.

I like Morning Sun. It's really grown on me. Not sure it's got that instant hooky catchy chorus needed for Sports Relief though... but that's not Rob's fault, it's the people at the BBC who chose the song.

I also like his swing stuff, although I'm glad he didn't continue with it. It's a nice 'one-off'. Terrible for anything else.

Also, I hate how lots of people perceive him to be arrogant and untalented. I personally don't agree with this, but when he releases $h!t like Rudebox, does a fairly inappropriate (it's a singing show, not an entertaining show) and arrogant performance on X-Factor and follows it up with the occaisonal performance where his voice is just completely off, it's no wonder that many people think he's untalented. Personally, I think he's not the greatest talent, but he sure can sing pretty well. :D

Also...

JLS ARE THE $h!tTEST THING IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. :L :D

EDITZORZ: And when him and Take That say "there's something big in the pipeline" I just want to hurt something. I mean, come on! Just tell us the whole story and do something, or leave it - stop hunting out bloody publicity!

That is the thing that I found the most excruciating! Bloody hell ... Robbie said this 'big' like they'd found a cure for cancer or something. They're just five blokes who got lucky. I already detested Robbie Williams (I'm sorry ... but every picture I see of him just has 'smug' written over it) but all this talk has made me go right off Take That as well. Still ... I'll be saving money in the long run I suppose so I should thank Rob for something!

Norma

Haha, I agree (with the reunion part, sorry Rob if you're reading this I still love you).

I thought his performance at the Brits was great. A lot of his performances, songs and 'news' (things he gets up to eg. marriage, soccer relief) strike me as 'good for his fans' (me) but probably immensely tedious and annoying for everybody else; however, I thought that what he did at the Brits hopefully showed most people that he's got it in him to be really good. Agree that the Brits was a good performance?

Also, I presume you've heard Rudebox? If not, it makes for good Robbie bashing (I'm kinda new here, you guys have probably heard every song under the sun but just in case you haven't :P)
