The brand name will always have some credibility for being associated with pop classics that I know you don't need me to name :P it's not like Wear My Kiss is actually by 'Sugababes 4.0' - as far as historical records will be concerned, the same band that made Overload also made Wear My Kiss :drama:

She's hardly desperate, she has no album on the way. No agenda other than to save the brand name she created from becoming a total farce.

 

 

The Sugababes hasn't been the same since Muyta quit. Their output has been poorer, and so have the sales.

 

 

It's no co-incidence that Angels, Three and Taller are the best Sugababes albums in terms of quality and sales, and Change the worst quality wise.

First of all Mutya had to go on Big Brother so thats a lump of respect gone, second of all it was her decision to leave so its the past for her now so in my view I think she should just leave it at that. I'm not saying they were $h!t or anything cause I loved their music as much as I do now, and why do I feel I constantly have to defend my view in here too :mellow:

Siobhan was only on board for 3years and the Debut, yet the tag Former Sugababe has stuck with her for a decade. The waves the band made in the industry mean they'll never shake off that label. So the brand name being tarnished does effect the three former members.

I like About A Girl, and Get Sexy and Wear My Kiss are ok but the Sugas used to be the pioneers of British pop which was accessible, yet resepectable at the same time. Push The Button, Hole In The Head and Round Round are pop standards which will be remembered for years, maybe decades to come and carry the trademark sound - the last three singles could have been recorded by anyone really. 4.0's singles will be a footnote on the brand name, much like the final few ABBA singles were - it's better for bands to bow out on a high, or change the band name altogether in my opinion if there is notable change in personnel, because other than Heidi (and excluding About You Now) Amelle and Jade weren't on any of the bands 'remembered' hits.
