It's #15 on Morrisons album chart

I noticed that today! I couldn't find it and then I was like "oh, there it is at the end of the 3rd row" and stupid Glee was on the top, so I moved Alicia Keys' album infrount of Glee's to hide it. haha :teresa:

y is it doin bad comeon guys buy buy buy

I'm not buying it. I don't like it and think it's pretty awful.

However, good luck to them. If they're happy with how it sounds, then good for them.

I think it'll end up at #11.

I still think this too. Even if it does end up in the lower region of the top 10, there's nothing to suggest it'll actually sell well in the longrun anyway. 'Get Sexy' is long forgotten now, 'About A Girl' was a minor hit and the latest single turned out to be exactly the same as well, if the album drops down fast and the next single does a 'No Can Do' or worse, it won't look good.

Yeah. I don't see why people are getting in a mess over the chart performance. Sure, it'll be nice to have the album chart high. But the label care more about sales than they do chart positions.

Janet Jackson's 'Discipline' debuted at number one and flopped hard, whereas Jamelia's (the only artist I can think of from the top of my head) 'Thank You' record debuted in the mid-30s and ended up being a multi-platinum seller churning out like six singles.

If I cared enough, I'd be more concerned with how it sells than where it ends up in the charts.

Obviously high sales are more important but the higher the position the higher the sales.

Obviously.

However, my point was an album can debut at the top and still flop, so worrying about where it debuts is kinda pointless. You should be keeping an eye on it for the following three/four weeks. It could be a grower.

The lack of promotion doesn't help, either.

^^^Exactly wer r they this week, its annoying!

I guess by the same token, if the album's likely to drop down and not recover like Catfights, I guess this is the week where it will get the majority of its sales and a high position would soften the blow.

Lol, yeah.

I mean, this is an exciting time for the girls & fans. I'm not taking that away. I just think there's too much emphasis on the chart position.

Could be, could be. I guess both girls and fans just want reassurance that the babes are back (and here to stay).

Hard call. they have months of pre-orders from the original nov release and the build up to this time including the further delays. May save them. I suspect they'll slide in the mids all week as with singles as a result. I suppose if it debuts higher than 8 and sells more than the 23k ish C&S opened on it will be a victory/improvement (arguably).

Personally don't think glee will be massive but obv still a threat :)

Glee is a HUGE threat. I'm pretty sure Glee will be no1. Though Sugababes have promo near the end of the week(and hopefully some signings) so they should increase at the end of the week
 as if Crown would put on a signing, they are incapable of doing anything to help their artists careers.
Judging by the last two singles, the album will probably be top 5 in the first part of this week, then slowly fall to a spot lower in the top 10. I can't see the album having much longevity unless the next single keeps sales healthy...personally i see the album selling around 130-145k. i just dont think the interest is there anymore.
