DAYUM, I've had to come into work on a Saturday as my company's website malfunctioned, and I'm literally still drunk. It's retarded, and totally disappointing coming into an empty office on a Bank Holiday weekend. This sucks, seriously.

HAHA! Oh dear. You have to come in, on a bank holiday, drunk? LOL. Why couldn't someone else do it? haha.

The only other guy with access is my manager, and do you really think management actually know how to work the system...? Hell no! Very annoyed, but I'm claiming time off for it, so it's all good.

OK when did this forum happen LOL. I didn't know there was even a request for one.

i posted up a request for it a couple of months back when EoF reached #1. thought it fitting we should have a forum in honour of her first UK number 1. I tried to spread the word and we were doing ok, but slowly, and were in danger of running out of time but then Jonjo and Martin got started and the votes really started to roll in. We ended up with 53 yeses, though one was discounted due to an IP issue (2 votes from same PC I'm guessing !). all the details still in the forum request thread.

I just downloaded Alicia's first 2 albums (my mum owns them legally, but they're scratched :P), and I'm on 'Songs In A Minor' at the moment, and I really loved 'Girlfriend'. It's just so amazing. And I loved 'Fallin'' of course! :P And 'Rock Wit U' sounds promising currently. So yeah, that's my Alicia-inc post of the month day. :D

Anyone any good at doing the banner type signatures/avatars or whatever they are called at the bottom of all their message posts ? I want to get one done that with pictures of Alicia and some words along the lines of "Save the Alicia AF"

Maybe try and get everyone in here to do the same and try and get the attention of management to show the strength of feeling and support for Alicia's AF. Maybe get them to reverse their decision ?

What do you guys think ? Anybody volunteer to make such a 'banner/picture thingy' ?

 

As this is off-topic stuff can I just say how P'd off I am that the "management" have decided that this AF is for the chop only a few months after we got it.

If it wasn't for me still wanting access to the Shakira and Christina forum I'd be giving any supporters of this closure a seriously hard time (ie abuse.......... but I'd get blocked/banned which helps no one :( )

Why can't they leave our Queen of NY forum open ? Or should that be NY yummy mummy !!?

We'll be quite a bit more active now I think. The baby news as well as new single and stuff. :) It's no different from when other forums weren't as active because their artists are in studio recording etc... (Go see the Leona forum for example)

I know. but it still makes me mad. I dip in and out the Leona forum too from time to time and its been really quiet in there lately but they're not closing hers down (Which I'm glad about). Just wish they'd see sense and leave Alicia's alone too.

It's not really the managements team fault that people requested for it but aren't posting in it. (i know how you feel, but i also completely understand why the management are doing it) just keep posting away and we'll be staying :D

I submitted the request and have tried to post whenever I can and reply/comment on others posts but it seems we are a victim of over 50 people supporting the request but only about 4 or 5 getting invovled (other than the mods) with using it once it was created. I'll keep posting and fingers crossed we'll get a sway of execution :)
