When's Easter weekend nowadays?

any news about the dates?

It seems the final results will be on easter weekend, I think :) :unsure:

Easter weekend is exactly a month from now, 2nd-4th I think (not certain)...seems ideal ^_^

 

I do recall listening to some of the XV entries on my way to Sweden last year (Hurtful and Wind It at least), which was on March 13th, so we're not exactly galloping ahead of schedule as it's been mentioned, I guess some threads for XV had been open around this point last year, or at least the green room was and I may have downloaded the songs early :lol:

 

I quite like the mini breaks between contests, I'm already trying to digest ESC and MF songs, UK singles, European/other territory singles, and a load of albums all at the same time. BJSC on top of that just makes my chart impossible to compile :heehee:

For the record, I'm not a huge fan of the one month breaks between contests. I find myself caring less and less about BJSC after each break. Hasn't the number of participants dramatically decreased because of the breaks?

 

Though, I suppose in a way that's ideal. We don't need tons of people.

We wouldn't be having a one month break. If it was in Easter weekend, then that would have the semi-finals starting on the 21st - so the banlist could open on the 7th, with reservation on like the 10th or something. It's actually quite refreshing to not have to deal with so many people! It was looking as if it might have been a real problem around summer last year...

It will, but we're just saying that it's a lot easier not having to deal with the headache of 54+ country contests :P The New Country Registration thread is a work in progress...

tbh if it's such a struggle maybe we should just copy what they do over at NSC?

 

It's not that complicated, just have a list of countries that are allowed to take part.....then have a list of countries on a waiting list........then if a country doesn't take part for about 3 contests they get removed from the list and someone on top of the waiting list moves into the contest.

Yeah I know, I like many diffrent types of music (from rock (Marion Raven) to sugersweet pop (Lene Marlin)) lol

 

I don't want to send the same every contest, and I'm gonna send Rockettothesky, but everytime I listen to it it reminds me of April/May 2009. So I will wait until then. ^_^

 

But I do concider Beach House as my favorite entry of all time! :wub:

 

'Famous' is the song I'm listening to very much atm, so why not send it, I hope I don't get tired of it thou lol

Because we asked everyone if they liked that and they said no :P Every solution we came up with people had a huge aversion to, hence why it was a headache...

I may have found my entry but it's kept in the strongest secret. Anybody who leaks any information about anything Bjsc:xxv__ related (concerning the entry of Elëdan to it) will be up to trial and maximum of 30 years of prison.
