Hmm, well I'm going down the electro route for my debut, but you should so enter that Music Go Music song. I love it  . It's like a melange of Waterloo and He Is Your Brother!

That's cool, I like electro :) Music Go Music is cool, but Hurts are not banned, so question is, do I want a cheap top 5, or should I risks FTW? :kink:

I'm not entirely sure that Better Than Love is a guaranteed top 5, I still far prefer Wonderful Life myself :o I guess it's definitely more commercial though but I think it would be another low top ten - appeal more to the pop voters but not so much to those who loved Wonderful Life.

I'd be inclined to go for Music Go Music, really growing on me!

That's cool, I think it's got plenty of indie cred as well as pop appeal though, and although Rob rather broke the pattern, another Sound of 2010er could easily win this :kink:

Cool, I'm really thinking about it! I've got it down to five at least. Well kinda six :kink:

Better Than Love is such a disappointment after Wonderful Life :(

probably because of the fact that nobody was sent last time from the Sound of 2010er list.

You think? I think it's the perfect crossover sound, to get them into the charts but not to alienate the Hoxton set. Why weren't you here to vote on it when it was my entry :snif:

I'd LOVE to be proved wrong and you know I really like it but Better Than Love would sit incredibly uncomfortably in the UK charts at the moment, I can't see anything more than a low top 40 hit for it even with full Radio 1 support, I think they'll be a better album seller :(

It's all rap and urban at the top these days, electro indie isn't the sort of thing I'm expecting to see in the top 10 anytime soon

Better Than Love has extracted pretty much everything I liked about their sound :( . They've lost all the mystery and intrigue, probably thanks to some industry bigwig forcing them to create something more "chart friendly", but it's failed big time as the sound they had before was far more likely to strike a chord with the masses. I agree with Rich that this will struggle to go top 40.

Wonderful Life probably would have got 12 points from me, but I doubt Better Than Love would feature in my votes at all.

That's a shame, I think they still have that to an extent, it's not really a seismic shift, it's more like when the Human League went from Being Boiled to Sound Of The Crowd...

Yeah, I know what you mean, but Delphic got pretty damn close and had a huge album, and there is Scouting For Girls at number 1 who if not electro are at least indie...

Yeah I guess you're right, shame most of the rap is $h!te really

Hurts are terrible.

That is all :smoke:

If you send them it'll be the first time 2 members of FSR Ashvania haven't exchanged points at all [Exception being for the DNQ's in X]

I can see that comparison. Travelogue is still my favourite album of theirs though. Dare had decent songs, but they lost their grittiness. I'm looking forward to their new material which is supposed to be a return to that sort of sound :D

Was it huge, I thought it entered top 10 and then disappeared quickly? Which wasn't that great considering the mass hype they'd had beforehand :o

Agreed there, the worst offender being Professor Chav with their INXS mauling :puke:

Well, top 10 is pretty good. Know what you're saying though.

Never thought I'd say that, but thank GAWD for Usher and Scouting For Girls

Eeeee! I've found someone I can talk about 80s $h!t with  If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I know what you are saying, but Dare is easilly in my top 10 albums ever. I saw the League live at the Sage in Gateshead two years ago, and they haven't changed at all, they played the whole of Dare and then a GH set

Are you sure? I don't think you gave me points when I sent them the first time in XXIII :kink:

Fair enough, I get you  I'll PM you soon with my lineup, I don't want to reveal it publicly until reservations.
