16 - BEVERLEY KNIGHT - 6.59

After releasing her 6th flop album last year, Bev manages to become Buzzjack's 16th favourite R&B star! 'In Your Shoes' was alright, but wore off quickly, and the rest of the album wasn't up to much either.

This is a lie. "In Your Shoes" remains amazing, just like the album, and it wasn't exactly the highlight. That'd be "Soul Survivor", "Beautiful Night", "Turned To Stone" and "100%". Even being objective, she's a better all round artist than half of the remaining contenders. (Alexandra Burke, Ciara, Jordin Sparks, Lemar, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Tinchy Stryder, Whitney Houston) She's brilliant live, you really have to see it to believe it, she's not just a singing puppet and her music is actually good. Saw her live again last night, she's someone I pretty much have to see if she's somewhere I can get to easily.

I am still disgusted at the fact Ciara (the definition of bland R&B), Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna and Timbaland are higher than her. Rihanna was inevitable but the other three all epically failed to make decent albums to start with let alone be one of the top 20 Urban artists of the year.

This time last week Beverley coming #16 wouldnt have bothered me but since seeing her live she's been propelled back into posistion of my favourite artist.

I want Alicia or Beyonce to win but its gonna be Rihanna and that p*** poor album of hers isnt it :( ?

Rated R >>>>>>>>>>> I Am Sasha Fierce -_-

At least 'Rated R' isn't completely generic and shows some direction. Beyoncé's, whilst it has good songs has the utterly DIRE 'Diva', 'Videophone', 'Ego' and 'If I Were A Boy' on it. Although I liked 'Videophone' for about a week, mainly for GaGa LOL.

Hmm, there is that. I Am....Sasha Fierce can hardly claim to be a great album at that. I dunno, myabe its becuase I didnt have hugely high expectations for Beyonce whilst I did for Rihanna?

Oh Jack. I dont like it when we disagree. We usually agree on absoultely everything :(

Alicia Keys or Rihanna to win.

I'm not a huge fan of either but they're the only decent ones on that list imo. I thought Tinchy and Alex would've been out of this a while ago.

MS KERI BAYBEH FTMFW! :cheer:

Also LOL Theo. I'm not Bev's biggest supporter, but I can see she is actually a pretty decently successful Albums artist. Her Greatest Hits especially has done amazingly well, to say she's only had about 2 or 3 top 10 hits.

But yeah. Keri Hilson for the win :cheer:

Imma predict the top 15...

Which is why I said 6, the number of studio albums she's had. :kink: But yeah, it was mainly just a joke. ;) :P

His last studio album's singles were quite successful, to say they didn't have major backing from Radio 1! Also 'The Way Love Goes', released 2010, is probably my favourite single ever of his!

Right I'm gonna see how many I get wrong from now on :P Also made one change and added BEP's. I have a really icky feeling Beyonce's gonna walk it. She may have her haters, but in these countdowns, the lovers outweigh her haters.

Mine too!

Lemar. I never bothered with his 4th album as I was never interested in the singles but my interest was revived with his GH. Way Love Goes was superb and as it turns out, he actually has quite a few great songs.

'Million Dollar Bill' was okay at the time of release, but listening to it now, sounds boring. I never bothered listening to the rest of the album, but by other member's reviews, I'd rather not.

Awww, leave the crazy lady alone :( Her X-Factor performance was wonderful - more people should come on X-Factor and annoy the prick of a host by claiming the falling money is theirs.

The album, not outstanding but decent enough. Million Dollar Bill aswell, not the strongest of comeback singles but a great effort.

Well hopefully I won't have to include her next year! ;D

Even though she's just released one of her best singles ever?!

As for Whitney, I loved the album in the end. It's far from the woman I grew up loving, but it was pretty decent. Not surprised to see her this low. She's a legend, but the album wasn't exactly legendary.

I've not heard much of his past material, but 'Break Your Heart' was a fantastic comeback single and deserved all 3 weeks weeks at #1! 'Dirty Picture' is even better, so I hope it's a massive UK smash too. He broke the US with an edited version of 'Break Your Heart' featuring rapper Ludacris.

I'm very surprised that they've managed to finish this high, but in my opinion, they released theire best track yet, 'Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)' last year. It was a massive #3 smash in the UK, and was also highly successful all over the world. The Pussycat Dolls had success with 'Whatcha Think About That' and 'Hush Hush; Hush Hush' last year, both of which also reached to UK top 20. In the Winter of 2009, it was announced that the group was being rebooted, with only Nicole and Melody staying in the band.
