Although Malena was opera (which Slovenia had already done in 2007), it still had the same old schlager dance beat underneath that they used in 2004, 2006 and 2008...Snalla Snalla would have been a far bigger risk.

That's true, but I think Salem would have been too different for Eurovision. I don't think the people of Europe would 'get it'. But now you can use it in BJSC. :kink:

AMAZING SHOW. Wish I'd have watched the first five shows live. The stream was near perfect. No awful songs. Great production. BBC - I hope you were watching! If our selection was like this, I'm sure it would attract bigger names & bigger viewing figures, with a better result at ESC.

I found it a bit dodgy how people could still vote while the jury results were being revealed. I loved the French jury. "This Is My Life" is ok, and right at the end I was supporting "Keep On Walking", as it was the only one with the chance of beating Anna, but my favourite tonight was "Manboy". Really catchy, good performance, and a really hot Eric

My suggestion would be to make the results 100% international jury :kink: I think Anna was 7th after the international juries, so it's clear to see she won't do great at ESC.

Oh, one last thing...my mum thought the female host looked like a chicken. Because of the legs.

I loved the French jury too, though typical french not wanting to speak another language :kink:

That's another reason I loved the French jury. At ESC they speak French, but tonight she had to speak in English

EDIT: And were the Serbia, Russian & Greek juries speaking Swedish? Wouldn't have expected them to be able to speak Swedish...

They were indeed, surprised me too :o

I sent him last month, I can't send him twice in a row :P

I wouldn't anyway, I won't go near ESC rejects with a bargepole for BJSC :heehee: they'll never feel like Rontvian entries to me, but always part of the NF they come from...

Even Antonina (the russian votes' presenter) was speaking swedish. (And comparing to Måns'/Christine's swedish it was VERY good!) -_-

But yes, Russian, Greek and Serbian people aren't able to learn swedish :P

I thought these juries were located in Sweden so they should've known some swedish anyway...

I'm VERY tempted to send Alcazar. Timoteij would flop on it's arse I'm afraid :(

Dunno if it means much in the way of BJSC, but Timoteij has managed to make the BuzzJack multichart for two weeks in a row

Plus, Kom is already banned from BJSC. :P
Kom is banned and BJSC have seemingly gone anti-Alcazar recently, I can't see it going down overly well...the indie vote is becoming more and more powerful every month and Scandi-pop is suffering badly
Kom is banned? OMG :o I really haven't known what to ban so I haven't bothered (don't quote this on the BJSC board, but I don't really like the banlist :kink:)
Even though i want to I shall not be sending Salem too. :(
I love how every topic on BJ turn into BJSC discussion at some point :kink:
I don't take part in BJSC so it's not really important to me, but can someone please explain how "Kom" is banned?

The banlist nominations nominated it to be banned :P

i don't either. I also don't like this 'indie vote' nonsense, it's allowing utter trash into the final, and making good songs miss out [not bitter about XXIV at all]

So let's turn BJSC into a cheesy pop fest. 'Yay'. I'd rather withdraw. (Bless indie vote)
