Its is better for Alex to start standing on her own two feet so some people cannot claim she uses X-factor performances to get hit singles or being pimped out by Radio 1.Radio 1 have interviewed her twice in the past week which is strange considering they will not play ANL. It says alot about her fanbase and her that the song is doing so well.

It is time to let Radio 1 go, what differance has it made to All Night Long, none.Whatever reason and what ever they are trying to prove let them.All Alex fans can do is make sure the song charts as high as possible.It has done very well so far and will continue to.

Well firstly they don't need an excuse, they can play what they like, and secondly I don't know which the couple of others you refer to are but what they said about not playlisting I Got You by Leona for example was that the feedback they received from the focus groups for Happy was almost universally negative. Similar situation with Broken Heels I imagine.

'I Got You' was playlisted though... and I doubt that's true at all. Some popular artists are guaranteed a playlisting with every single if they're hot enough or their profile is that high.

Not sure if you're saying you doubt the IGY is true - apols if not - but surprisingly it was. I got one of the replies from R1 myself that explained it.

 

In fairness yes I could see the R1 audience not liking Happy that much, but not liking Broken Heels I find a bit strange.

 

Clearly the station don't dislike Leona/Alex - as they have playlisted them and continue to interview them. It's very strange!
