April 5, 201015 yr Charlotte Church is a breath of fresh air as a judge. Agreed she is the best thing about the show with her comments. As her classical and pop music background and knowledge and constructive comments really do show up the judges on X-Factor (bar Dannii) for being the clueless ego driven publicity seeking megalomaniacs that they are.
April 5, 201015 yr Poor Amy, yeah she wasn't the best but NO way was she the worst. It should have been Emilie vs Dani in the sing off! I'd really like to know who voted for Emilie to be in the top 11 in the first place, she is by far the worst imo!
April 5, 201015 yr Emilie got voted in because most of the voters are women and girls who like her because she's girly and not particularly pretty (and not especially threatening in their minds). Most of them will have been incensed by the very presence of Amy Diamond so she never really stood a chance.
April 5, 201015 yr I'm glad Amy went as she was easily worse than Steph in the sing off. Having said that neither are Dorothy material. But forgetting Amy's past or her blonde hair ... the fake eyelashes; her rather tall size (unless the actors playing the Lion; the Tinman & the Scarecrow are all going to be over 6 foot tall) and her "rack" made her unsuitable for the part. Legally Blonde however ..... a different kettle of fish entirely.
April 5, 201015 yr I'm glad Amy went as she was easily worse than Steph in the sing off. I just don't understand this! Not only was she the better vocalist by far but she was also a better actor. Sheila (I think it was) specifically said that the sing-off song had to be sung with vulnerability and then Steph went and sang it all big smiles as if she just didn't understand at all how to tone it down and play up to the emotion of the song. Amy was spot-on.
April 5, 201015 yr Over The Rainbow Winner (Final 10): Betfair.com Jessica 5/2 Fav Danielle 5/1 Stephanie 11/2 Bronte 7/1 Lauren 15/2 Jenny 15/2 Sophie 25/2 Dani 33/1 Emilie 50/1 Steph 100/1 I'm not surprised Jessica is the favourite. She is one of the better singers but certainly not in the top 3 IMHO, but I already think/fear she will win as she has already pulled the "Jodie Prenger" stunt of having stated she is a bit of an amateur; "her parents could not afford to put her through stage school"; etc. She has bags of personality bordering on the annoying like Jodie Prenger had (i.e. slightly too hammy = her performance of Rehab so the judges ignore it was not as technically well sung as some of the other singers); and most importantly she is as much a fit to the Great British Public's perception of Dorothy (i.e. Judy Garland - Wizard Of Oz 1939 movie) as Jodie Prenger was as Nancy (i.e. Shani Wallis - Oliver! 1968 movie).

Amy was spot-on. Oh come off it, she was nowhere near as good as Steph in the sing off. She was just too pop and nowhere near enough theatricality required. Toning it down does not mean turn the volume control down in places FFS. On the other hand, Steph's performance and range in the sing-off was truly emotional. But with her skin colour there is no way she is going to win alas. I was at my sister's with my Mum, Dad, and her two sons and their partners and we all thought Steph should go through before ALW announced his decision. However, I can see Simon Cowell trying to get Amy to audition as a ringer for X-Factor though to get one over the Lord/the BBC from a mile off (like he did with Rhydian (Any Dream Will Do - Joseph Last 24) & "Eggnog" (I'd Do Anything - Oliver! Last 20) in the past). As she certainly has the back/sob story.

Amy was spot-on. Completley agree! Not only was she better than Steph in the sing off, but on the night her performance of BGDC was easily better than Stephs IJCSLY. At the end of the day neither were right for the role, both were more suited to the XF, but Amy had the better voice and acting skills, and should have stayed. Her exit song showed that too.
April 6, 201015 yr oOo Jessica fave to win, would be nice for someone from Middlesbrough to do well. I really hope Lauren does well too! Edited April 6, 201015 yr by Lukuzz
April 6, 201015 yr Author I still haven't picked a favourite yet or anything but I really can't warm to Jessica or Jenny yet. I was the same about Connie Fisher though and she grew on me eventually. Really not fussed on Emilie at all either. Wasn't thrilled she got the 11th spot.
April 6, 201015 yr Steph was much better than Amy in the sing off, although I wasn't surprised Steph was there like TiP said. Bronte is my fave. I however Jessica will win it. The bottom 2 next week will be Emilie and Sophie.
April 7, 201015 yr Steph was much better than Amy in the sing off, although I wasn't surprised Steph was there like TiP said. Bronte is my fave. I however Jessica will win it. The bottom 2 next week will be Emilie and Sophie. Emilie I hope so. Sophie I hope not!
April 10, 201015 yr Hello is anyone else watching? If Steph is in the bottom two again after that performance of the Bjork Betty Hutton song, then this country is racist IMHO.
April 10, 201015 yr Only turned out accidentally - who is this girl? She's so flat  I mean, I realise that The Boy Does Nothing isn't the easiest song to sing, but she's really bad to listen to.
April 10, 201015 yr I actually really liked Emilie performing TBDN tonight. Not the best by any means and her voice is probably the weakest but she's massively charming. The best by FAR was Steph (I've u-turned on her). Dani was very good singing Home too. Stephanie from Liverpool who sang Smile (very averagely might I add) is clearly a massive cow so despite the voice I hope she's gone soon.
April 10, 201015 yr I think Sophie was the worst tonight; whilst Bronte & Jessica were very underwhelming this week. I agree with Jark, Stephanie has that Nadine Coyle-ness about her. She knows she is really good, which makes her unlikeable. .. and thanks to ALW for this reference to put her performance into perspective: dh57sCPjtzw
April 10, 201015 yr Best of tonight's show was Jenny, she gave me goosebumps when she sang Songbird. Stephanie is a close second, but I really don't like her, she comes across too arrogant, Amy third. Sophie and Jessica were a bit wobbly tonight, and Emilie was pretty average, the other 4 I don't really care about, I can't even remember their performances, they are were rather forgettable. If Sophie and Emilie are the bottom 2, ALW will probably save Sophie. I have a feeling Emilie will go tomorrow, I was on the nose with Amy last week.
April 10, 201015 yr I watched for the first time tonight, and I'm gonna follow to the end. The girl who sang Songbird (I think her name was Jenny ) was by far the best, that Emilie girl is awful...
April 11, 201015 yr I think Lauren was great again this week, I think she is my fave atm. Jenny was brilliant aswel this week. Dani was alot better than last week! I really like Danielle, and I love 'Just a Little Girl' I do love Jessica and think she is a great actress, but I dunno if her voice is strong enough. I think Steph was really good this week too and I hope she isnt in the bottom 2 again. Stephanie is good but not amazing imo, I really like Sophie but she wasn't that great this week. Bronte (Barbie) was also good but not great imo Emilie is just awful imo (although she was alot better this week) I still REALLY hope she goes tonight! I'd probs rate them like this atm = 1.Lauren 2.Danielle 3.Jessica 4.Jenny 5.Sophie 6.Dani 7.Steph 8.Stephanie 9.Bronte 10.Emilie
