March 16, 201015 yr I think they'll probably get signed up with Universal music tv, it's an offshoot of Universal and specialises in the occasional single, every release usually gets extensive tv coverage as airplay is usually lacking, so they'll be popping up on tv regularly I should imagine.
March 17, 201015 yr Im surprised they got dropped so quick,im not a fan to put it kindly, but what it highlights is how shallow the industry is, at the end of the day the single reached #2 and has sold over 100,000 which isnt terrible, had it gone number 1 and sold the same i wonder would they still have being dropped. I can see them geting signed again and the univeral story of signing them is probably true but i cant see themn lasting beyond 1 album or 2 at the very very most, personnely i think they are 2 untalented blokes who got lucky and will more than likely end up doing so kids tv shows. They will make a lot of money short term but long term i cant see them having a successful music / media career. I think in a few years time probably 2 they will completly diseapear and go back to their normal lives.
March 17, 201015 yr Thats bad - for them I mean, theyll probably end up being dropped again and then it will be too late for any kind of TV career :( tough luck haters though, that will put an end to the smug comments! Jedward arent going anywhere yet! :P You say that as if it's a good thing.... Did you actually listen to that "song" of theirs.... A total tacky rip-off of "Ice Ice Baby" which itself sampled Queen's "Under Pressure" about 20 years ago.... Jesus, and here was me thinking that Popular music was supposed to come up with fresh, new ideas, not just rip off someone who'd already ripped off someone else..... Mind you, when you look at their image, they just look like Vanilla Ice clones anyway with their ridiculous hair...
March 17, 201015 yr I think th eprobelm with jedward is they are being pushed far to quickly, they are everywhere doing everything but arent concentrating on any one thing overall, they need strong material which wont happen as why for example waste a good song on 2 people who cant sing.

Yeah, wasnt a good song, but ive heard much worse anyway, it is good they are still in entertainment, well I like them anyway :) but they really need to ditch singing, they just arent good singers, as Sony said- they are a visual act, not an act you want to hear on the radio, I think acting (their apparently in the Hobbit  ) and presenting is where their strengths lie and I think they would have a good career with this Thats why the signing worries me- they could get dropped again and this time they may not be as lucky Edited March 17, 201015 yr by chart wizard
March 20, 201015 yr Oh damnit. I was so happy that I read they had been dropped...but now they've been signed by Universal?! What is the World coming to? -_-
March 23, 201015 yr Jedward were never dropped by their label guys, look on Mr Paparazzi :) they just switched after one single plus they have a three album deal with Universal- looks like their gonna be here a little bit longer :dancing:
March 30, 201015 yr Im so looking forward to Jedward releasing an album, under pressure is brilliant, i wonder how long it will take before their second single will be released.

March 30, 201015 yr I am not fooling around, i have always liked them and they should have won x factor and they really are the real winners of last years x factor.
March 31, 201015 yr I am not fooling around, i have always liked them and they should have won x factor and they really are the real winners of last years x factor. Really? Last time I checked Joe McElderry was the real winner of the X Factor last year. :P
March 31, 201015 yr I am not fooling around, i have always liked them and they should have won x factor and they really are the real winners of last years x factor. I didn't know that X factor was finding new comedians. They wouldn't even have won that.
March 31, 201015 yr by Sony after just one effort.   To think Sony wasted time and money on these morons, yet there's lots of their good acts in Europe that don't get a UK release. Shameful on Sony
April 1, 201015 yr The "30 Seconds To Mars" lead singer is a fan of Jedward. And apparently, they've agreed to pose nude for PETA. When people pose nude for PETA, how much do you normally get to see? :kink: plus they have a three album deal with Universal- looks like their gonna be here a little bit longer :dancing: Does that actually guarantee that they do at least three albums, though? I hear u cant touch this a cover of mc hammers songs will be their next single. DigitalSpy is reporting that their cover of "Ghostbusters" will be on their album, but the other songs are original, even though they are sampling MC Hammer, Kris Kross & House Of Pain.
April 3, 201015 yr Does that actually guarantee that they do at least three albums, though? no but it definately means one album
