WOAH

Literally can't believe it, another few months delay so now we're over a year after Collide is released.... They literally must want to ruin her...

It really doesnt surprise me that the release date has been pushed back. Leona's popularity has vastly declined since the success of her first album and the show is one way of ensuring she gets more exposure for an artist who is in decline.

Leona tweeted and said she was recording and puttin the finishing touches to the album. She also said it would be out as soon as it is ready.

hopefully that means its before November lol

if shes saying that she's just doing finishing touches, there's no way they could wait around eleven months to release it, maybe not march either, but sometime soon hopefully!
I think glassheart will never see the light of day, i predict that some of the material will be used towards another album that will get a different name.
Just heard the new Leona track Trouble being played LOUD in an office I was at. It's blooming huge.

Don't get too excited for Leona yet gang. She won't be back for a long time yet. Loads more recording to come.

Starts recording this week in LA with Fraser T Smith....producer who wrote Adele's Set Fire To The Rain. Two weeks of recording! #leonanews

There will be lots more recording following that. Right now they're trying to get Trouble perfect. It is a monster of a song. #leonanews

Leona won't be rushing anything - wants this album to be a major step up. She has the voice...but needs the songs. And that takes time...

Tempo wise Trouble is probably most like Sande's Heaven. It's actually cool. Really slick. Not a soppy ballad #finalleonanews

So frustrating knowing they are just sitting on great material for no reason.

I'm glad they arent rushing this album release. It will hopefully be worth the long wait if it does well and is a good album. I do believe Leona can be big again if they get the releases and promotion right. She is the best thing to have come out of the x factor by far.

Trouble actually sounds like a massive hit song from what we've heard, need to hear that asap!

I'm all for taking time on an album but it is 2012, Echo was released in 2009, i mean come on..we need an album! But as long as Leona is happy with the end result thats the main thing..

Leona is performing @ Radio 1 Big weekend in June, which was originally suppose to be the olympic concert.

I think that she will have a single out because she can't just perform songs that were hits back in 2008/7

I'm pleased they're saying that Leona wants it to be a major step-up, as much as I want the album now, I think releasing the album on the back of Collide would've spawned an inferior Echo-type performance, and as fans what do we want? A few more mediocre performing albums? Or smashing the BB200 like she did with Spirit, another 3m+ selling album for the UK? The "informer" is right, it takes time, I just hope it doesn't disappoint when it does arrive. I do think part of the problem is that you need to be able to match the song with the instrument, and with Leona's incredibly strong vocal they need to do her justice. I know I wouldn't be happy with an album full on bubble-gum pop which has been rush released just to shut the fans up.

On the positive side, Cowell doesn't just let his artists rest on their laurels, I think it's telling of his commitment towards Leona by how long he is giving her, the extra time to perfect the album, find the right producers etc, etc. all of which cost big $$$, he is investing in her, which can only be a good thing. Regardless of how long it takes until Glassheart is released, he will shove her so far down everyone's throats to ensure the campaign is successful. I'm not overly concerned tbh. ^_^

:cheer: Great Post.

I know that Leona will come out with quality music and hopefully it will do well.

Well Leona did have the biggest x factor album sales for her first album by far. Even Olly Murs hasnt shifted 1 million of either of his albums. Hence, Cowell knows if he gets it right Leona could be big again.

I think the album needs to be a step-up so I understand why Leona's taking her time with the album which is more or likely the best decision. Lets just hope Trouble is released in June with a BGT performance as well.

Leona was announced as performing at the one big weekend last year, straight after the previous one finished. So I don't think the timing of this really means anything.

Great post! Couldn't of said it better myself. :)

But that was before the album was delayed, therefore her label were expecting the era to have been in action by now.
