Leona Lewis is hoping to give Nicki Minaj a run for her money, revealing she will be trying her hand at rapping on her new album.

 

According to The Sun, the Collide singer has almost finished her third studio LP Glassheart, tellings fans in a live web chat that they can expect something different from her this time around.

 

The X Factor star revealed: "On my new album I will be rapping. I've discovered my voice for rapping.

 

 

"I could probably go up against Nicki Minaj now. I'm actually that good, so I'm coming for you Nicki! London style MCing."

 

It is thought that Leona will also experiment with dubstep on her forthcoming release, with a source telling the newspaper: "The Syco team have asked songwriters to hand them dubstep and dance tracks with traditional lyrics for her.

 

"And they've specifically stated no ballads. It's a big change for her."

 

Glassheart is due to hit UK stores on 15th October.

That ''rap'' thing was said on ustream as a JOKE! but the press have blown it up like they do, She was actually laughing after saying it, Dont think that ''webchat'' as it in cause its missed 20mins of it off!

The press is really ridiculous at times. It's honestly like Chinese whispers! She says it as a clear joke but they don't bother to investigate and just publish a story that she'll be rapping on her album. :huh:

I'm wondering what look she'll go for when launching this era, I'm so curious on how it's all going to go and what they have planned! Going to be great having Leona back on the radio, on the TV and in the charts! We got X Factor to look forward to as well, the panel and performance :dance:

That does look real at first glance, but if you look behind some of the bits of text like the expected release date, there seems to be something with the background colour that doesn't match up with the rest of the picture. That might just be my computer though! Otherwise it does look real and a Calvin Harris track - I hope that's true! :o

Hope that's true but it might not be. The details look plausible, but like Ryan said it just looks a bit dodgy, although maybe we're being spectical having had to wait so long :lol:
