They are doing worse than the Saturdays. The album is expected to drop out of the top 40 this week. :snif:

The should not Release crash & Burn because it wont do well. They should get back into the Studio and make a new album and the first single will have to be a stomper of a Track( EG- About You Now, Push The Button, Hole in The Head) For them to Survive
Imo they haven't got the edge or drive to make a killer single now, I'd be pleasantly suprised if they do.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were dropped - not many pop acts can survive two flop albums in a row. That said, I think "their" track record (the Sugababes brand's track record, that is) might count for something and the label might be willing to give them one last chance... but I don't think it's impossible that the band will split of their own accord. It wouldn't be a surprise if they felt that all the flak they're getting from the public/press for such slim returns in record sales just isn't worth it.

With that said, even if the band did "split" (as in, all 3 members quitting), who would rule out their management/label just getting together another 3 random girls and calling them Sugababes?

^ I agree.

I can actually picture a 'Are You the Next Sugababe?' type of show.

catfights & Spotlights wasnt really a flop. It entered at 8. At least it got top 10

Ghosts bombed like a bitch tho, iirc it didn't even chart

Real Girl and C&S did very similarly hence James' comment.

Of course it was a flop, it was the flop of the year in 2008 and they've had flop of the year again here and unlikely to be beaten. It's just that Sweet 7 has done so bad it actually makes Catfights look successful.

Chart positions mean nothing. It all boils down to sales, and if we look at those then it was a huge flop. That's why I've been saying you people should concern yourselves with sales instead of charting positions because if 'Sweet 7' had've sold a few more thousand, it'd have been in the top 10 but the sales would STILL be awful - and that's what the label looks at; not where it charts.

It did chart.

At #92.

STILL LOVE YOU SHIV-SHIV!

Siobhan is a multi-wood selling artist, with flops including "Don't Give It Up", "Twist of Fate", "So You Say" and the non-smash hit "Overrated".

She's a treasure and I adore her very much. Lovely lady.

On the other hand, so many bands couldn't even dream about 122k which C&S has... It's a flop for the Sugababes (after ~900k of AWDF, T & TIMW, ~600k and selling Overloaded and 500k of Change) but it's still a gold album after all...

True, but by their standards it's awful. In comparison to 'Sweet 7' however, those sales are phenomenal, lol.

How many copies is wood? 10? :heehee:

I own both her albums and So You Say and Don't Give It Up on single

15k is utterly diabolical by any major labels standards.

The girls are incredibly lucky Island didn't take one look at the first weeks sales of 11k and chart position and tell them where to go there and then.
