March 27, 201015 yr Are there actually good Knife songs? Apart from Heartbeats? (The cover of which was WAAAAY better tbh )
March 27, 201015 yr Ooooh Woo for the extra 24hrs :cheer: Casey, your brother is insanely lucky. You know where abouts in the glorious amazinglystunninglybeuatiful and sunny land down under your brother is going?

March 27, 201015 yr I much prefer the original The Knife version of Heartbeats - was never a fan of anything Jose Gonzales did, certainly not his 'I want to kill myself hearing this' cover version of Kylie's Hand On Your Heart.
March 27, 201015 yr Author Are there actually good Knife songs? Apart from Heartbeats? (The cover of which was WAAAAY better tbh ) 'Heartbeats' (the one I sent) is my favourite song of all time. 'Silent Shout' and 'Deep Cuts' are amazing albums too!

I'm not too sure where he's going (I don't know if he knows yet) He's holiday-ing for six months and working the other six. I think he's beginning in Perth, as he knows some people who live there.

I never made it across to WA :( I'd love to do the working holiday visa, but i think i'll just go with full emigration :heehee:

I don't really know what it's like, but looking on the map it looks to be in the middle of nowhere! Yeah, I think he's doing the working holiday to see if he likes it out there first and then possibly moving permanently in a few years time! I'm glad he's moving I can have the cabin thing he stays in at home to myself! :D YES!

Right the way from Adelaide in SA through to Carins in Queensland  LOL, that's a plus then! :magic: Most people i know who've been loved Australia.

Haha, yeah basically it's all for selfish reasons why I'm glad he's moving there ^_^ Ooh, yeah my mum loved it when she went with my other brother, they went all over the place!

March 27, 201015 yr Hmmm... I love Robyn 'Fembots' but I think i'm already starting to bore of it  Hmmm... we shall see if it can stand the test of time for me. Just spots Casey has not updated with the full length version I've uploaded: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcpby0_no...xv-3-1_creation On a personal note I actually wish I could bore of it a little, but I still keep playing it because I love it and it is addictive to my ears. As for the competition I definitely think I'd have stood a much better chance of winning had I stuck with entering Kelis - Acapella (I was very surprised no one else jumped on it after I choose my entry) especially now that it has made the Radio 1 Playlist and the video breaks on Monday and looks stunning so the song has the will.i.am/David Guetta/Record company promo media hype behind it that surely will result in a very big hit. VZzGX0xPaeA But as I prefer to do in this contest nowadays I follow my heart rather than my head and try and send my favourite song suitable for the contest rather than the song that can give me the best result. Hence I think those of you who think Robyn will win are wide of the mark (I think it lacks the conventional pop friendly song structure to gain enough votes/points win as it is too mono tonal (robotic) for a lot of people's tastes so I think it will be if anything a real "marmite" love v hate entry. (i.e. Body Talk's equivalent of Konichiwa Bitches). But I like it as it perfectly matches the lyrical content especially where the "Fembot" replies in Swedish.... I personally think there are more BJSC friendly entries entered in this contest. I certainly don't expect a Top 3 finish for it. But I'll happily settle for a Top 10 finish (having gone through all the entries I predict/expect it will finish 6th) as my last four contests have seen me finish outside the Top 20.
March 27, 201015 yr No way would Kelis have done better than Robyn :o Acapella has its fans but even a lot of them are bored of it, it would have struggled to go top ten. Even if as you suspect, it comes around 6th (I still think it's the winner to be honest), Acapella wouldn't have beaten it.
March 27, 201015 yr oo Kelis hasd made the R1 playlist!!? Goodbye electro, let the era of the drums commence.
March 27, 201015 yr Author I think 'Acapella' has been around too long to send it now. It would certainly have got my 12 a few months back (when I considered sending it). The video does look amazing though, so I expect my love for the song, and Kelis, will be reignited!
March 27, 201015 yr yeah Kelis was the one I wanted to send after I confirmed Melanie Fiona :snif: which flopped.

March 27, 201015 yr I just listened to the Knife song after reading all the comments here and it's awesome, tbh. I couldn't listen to it 3 or 4 times in a row but once, it's great, IMO.

That instrumental literally defines unlistenable. I'm pretty open-minded, and I enjoy the vocals, but I don't see how ANYONE could actually claim to enjoy that instrumental.
