god, professor green alisted - it could be no1 now!!

I think it just could. It was all over the music channels when I didn't have the internet and was trying to catch the "Telephone" video a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it'd be yet another awful #1 to add to the tally this year. :( While I'm glad to see British artists breaking through/being supported, there's only so much Tinie Tempah/Chipmunk/Professor Green/Plan B/Dizzee Rascal/Tinchy Stryder/Wiley a guy can take. :drama:

Very suprised to see them still supporting Kelis! Its a fairly weak effort from her but still fairly decent.

It's my fave of hers for AGES  Get that top 20 smash :w00t:

I heard that STUPID Professor Green song for the first time yesterday. I'm so sick of these talentless people not being able to come up with their own original work like this, but this one offends me the most of all because the original song is an all-time classic for me that I grew up with. To make it worse, this talentless prick has just recycled the backing track and added a lame rap on top. It takes the title of worst song of the year from 'Bedrock'.

If this goes to #1 it will be a travesty, considering the original just missed out.

Urgh, a disgrace to music quite frankly.

I completely agree. Awful predictable use of the song - I used to criticise Blazin' Squad for ruining the charts in 2002 but at least they were the only 'chav act' that tended to do well at the time so I could just about bear it. Now it's completely saturated the charts - just horrendous :puke:

Stop being such drama queens. It's just f***ing music!

He isn't even a chav? Why do yous say that? Because he's from London?? That's called stereotyping...

Moving into the present, glad for Lostprophets moving up and Paramore, which hopefully now won't flop. Kate Nash needs to be moved up though.

I didn't say he was a chav, I said it was 'chav music' because I've already heard chavs playing it out of their phones in the street. Of course I wouldn't class everyone from London as a chav, there are plenty of them down here in Brighton, and just about every other part of the UK I've been to!

We all have our musical dislikes, and I'm far from the first person to express a negative opinion for something on BuzzJack! I appreciate the likes of Chipmunk, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder etc... because they make infectious, original commercial rap, but I'm not such a fan of taking a classic track, adding barely anything to it and coming out with a worse product than the original yet having more success in the process.

Fair enough, but just because chavs are playing it, doesn't mean it's chav music....

I'm just saying....

I delighted Kelis has been playlisted because the way the Radio 1 Playlist has gone lately I half expected her to be left off (for being too old hat) for Radio 2 to pick up on.
Did they playlist The Big Pink's last single 'Velvet'? I don't remember them doing and it's much better... Still, at least they're playlisted.

Velvet made the A-List, although it sank without trace. Agree that it's much better than Tonight, which I think sounds too much like an album track.

A-listed but flopped.
