Posted March 27, 201015 yr Cheryl Cole has said that her solo career is definitely not the end of Girls Aloud in a recent interview whilst promoting her album in France. The Geordie X Factor judge said the group were all using the break to take advantage of ‘amazing opportunities’ that had been offered to them over their 7 year careers. Cheryl was speaking to Goom FM during the promotion of 3 Words and ‘Fight For This Love’ in France when she responded to rumours about the possible end of Girls Aloud. Asked if her solo career meant the group was over, Cheryl said: “No, actually we signed a 3 album deal just before I signed my solo deal, we’re just taking some time out. I mean 7 years is a long time and we were on a cycle of we’d record an album and then go on a tour, record an album, go on the tour… for a long time.” “Some of us were only 16 and 17 when we got into the group and we’ve grown into young woman. We’re experiencing… We’ve got amazing opportunities now to experience different things. Mine just happens to be music, I love music and that’s my main passion. I wanted to pursue that so that’s how it ended up with me going solo. “But it’s definitely not the end of Girls Aloud.” Cole went on to praise the work she had done with her bandmates: “Girls Aloud had a real unique British pop sound to our music, we were renowned for it, we were known for it. If you heard a Girls Aloud record you could say instantly it was Girls Aloud, even when the five voices blended together, you know, it creates a sound.” However the singer, whose debut album has now shifted over 800,000 copies, explained her solo work was very different: “I’ve gone down a route of the music I would listen to personally more, which is a R&B flavour, that and more of a dance beat. It’s definitely a different sound and a different feel.” 3 Words was released in France on March 22 Read more: http://music.tellymix.co.uk/2010/news/5198...l#ixzz0jPt8o88j Very happy to read this after all the rumours, but I don't like the way she speaks in the past tense when talking about Girls Aloud Maybe I'm just reading too much into it though!
March 28, 201015 yr Well realisticly we won't really get a GA much before Summer 2011, if you consider Sarah is starting recording her solo project, Nadine has yet to release hers, Cheryl is re-releasing/new album..

March 28, 201015 yr I actually think this break is going to make them even bigger. The fact they are in the position to go on a break is such a positive. All the girls will come back refreshed after getting off the typical girl band treadmill of album, tour, album tour. Huge Sales are expected :P

March 29, 201015 yr The longer the wait the greater the anticipation and the greater interest when the comeback finally arrives! But there does come a point when that interest blows away but yeah I'll let the News of the Chips write the story for that. In fact if my chips were wrapped in the News of the World I wouldn't believe they were chips!
