Posted March 28, 201015 yr 'Christian Music Toping the UK Charts': http://www.facebook.com/invadetheairwaves?ref=ts - 45,469 fans and rising fast 'Campaign to get The Wurzels to No1 in protest of Cider getting a 10% tax!': http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=112832208727212 - 42,900 members and rising even faster Who will win...? :teresa:
March 28, 201015 yr One of my school friends loved Delirious... personally I think they're $h!t  I'm surprised they have 45k fans...
March 28, 201015 yr Author Having 45,000 Christians in a group doesn't mean you've got 45,000 fans... :P I barged my way to the front at an instore performance of theirs, by accident, once. I was trying to get to the CDs beginning with 'A'. Anyway looks like Wurzels went to 210 on iTunes but no sign of Delirious? As a Westcountry atheist I know which side I'm on. Just.
March 28, 201015 yr The Wurzels were #139 earlier today, so they're not exactly succeeding  I'm with the Wurzels too I guess, but I'm not a cider drinker (apart from Bulmer's Pear...)
March 28, 201015 yr Author Haha, oh dear that's not so good for them then! Sadly I don't think Bulmer's Pear is exempt from the hike...
March 28, 201015 yr Talking Cider, doesn`t Strongbow just give you a roaring gut ache? Mass produced and full of chemicals. Like you say Tom, Bulmers Pear is pretty good.
March 28, 201015 yr One of my school friends loved Delirious... personally I think they're $h!t  I'm surprised they have 45k fans... I saw them live once in 2000 - bored me to tears. It's not that they're hugely popular, rather that they're one of the very few christian bands to have broken into the charts at all so it's easier to latch onto them than a brand new act I guess. P.O.D. and Stacie Orrico are the only others I can think of...
March 28, 201015 yr It would be nice to have one of these campaigns to get something decent back intothe charts for a change
March 28, 201015 yr I like cider, but I also like Jesus. But which is better? There's only one way to find out...FIGHT! I'm with Delerious on this one. It's the better song, regardless of what its message might be.
March 28, 201015 yr I think I'll stay on the sidelines until the 30th May and then support the campaign for the anti establishment anthem Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen For No.1 on Queen's Birthday (Trooping The Colour), 12 June 2010. All royalties will go to the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Charity.
March 28, 201015 yr Talking Cider, doesn`t Strongbow just give you a roaring gut ache? Mass produced and full of chemicals. Like you say Tom, Bulmers Pear is pretty good. Woody Woodpecker's Cider is better ;) if we are talking about Cider here.
