I think "Someday Soon" sounded a lot more...'beautiful'. You obviously have a thing for forgetting JRK-Off entries. :heehee: The other one was "This Can't Be Love", a more uptempo offering.

Was I here at that time? I don't really remember it at all... Where is Jark lately anyway? I miss him in this, he gave me two of my favourite discoveries ever (Space Cowboy and Owl City).

Oh I did like that one actually  not quite as much as the other two granted but it was an 8.5/10 I think. Someday Soon is more organic sounding I guess whereas Turn The Lights On is more dramatic - I love both sounds though.

Yeah, I do actually like all three. After the second entry I had intended to check out her album, but never got round to it. I'd say luckily for Phil it was still a discovery for me, but I didn't vote for it anyway...

Umm...looks like she was sent in XIII and XIV. (so you'd have been here for "This Can't Be Love") Jark (and Mikal) both quit BJSC because they didn't really want to be doing uni and BJSC/Buzzjack. Jark thinks the contest is/was in a right state as well.

Indeed. Jark holds the opinion that a lot of outsiders do that the contest should have a proper break of three months or something. Given the tantrums some people have if we postpone reservation by a few days...

I on the other hand, think if we're going to emulate anything we should use the Melodifestivalen model :kink:

Four semis and a second chance round?

Hell yeah, MF all the way :kink: Sadly I sort of know what Jark's saying, but it's just not practical now...

Yes Rich! We briefly discussed it in the semi results thread but nobody noticed that.

It'd be AMAZING tbh.

I'd be intrigued just to see the second chance round! I wonder if any song second chance qualifier could then pull off a Snalla Snalla type result in the final! I reckon it easily could seeing as with four semis, you'd be VERY likely to be split up from potential voters of your song

Actually, I think the advantage of four semis, each on a different week, would be that it would be practical to have everyone vote in every semi :o

This...Ashton suffered from the infamous 11th vote syndrome with me :(

I get that a lot nowadays :snif:

Someday Soon was as good as this  I don't even recall the third entry she had so it can't have made any impact on me at all.

 Someday Soon is stunning.

Agreed. ^_^

I was one of few to adore that song. IIRC both Nat Bass entries scored 12's from me.

Indeed, voting in every semi would be great. OMG I totally ADORE this idea. Please implement this asap lol. All the ESC haters can shut up (if there are any) because it has as much common with ESC as we're having atm (the voting system). (I said it just in case :kink: ). Plus listening to about 10 songs every week wouldn't be that hard, I'd say easier!

Listening to the songs staggered obviously has big disadvantages though - songs from the 1st week's semi could be at a disadvantage because people are bored of them 5 weeks later in the final (I know I have a short attention span ) and the week 4 songs would be fresher in people's minds. It's not like we could do what SVT do and block anyone from listening to the songs again until after the 4th semi!

People would be busy listening to each week's songs :kink: But i know what you mean! :( Maybe 3 or 2 semis dragged into separate weeks and a second chance then? :o 2 weeks might seem acceptable tbh.

Or have the semi's run at the same time like we do currently

People having to listen to 40+ songs at the same time isn't really solving the problem. People would be likely to be drawn into semis with crap songs/other genre songs whereas all the Top 5 contenders/'home' genre songs might end up in the other one.

arg 3 points off (Dulpean :kink:), ah well

That completely defeats the point of the idea  You might as well just ask everyone to vote in both semis now - it isn't going to happen :P

I missed your post above my multi quote one :kink:

Honestly I could vote in four different semis in the span of a week. It really isn't that hard to listen to, what is the size of this contest now, 40 songs in one week? I listen to like 500-800 songs per week according to last.fm lawlz.

I like MF idea :o with 4 semis (10-12 songs per semi).

I haven't read with careful all the comments regarding this idea, but I think it could work if we manage to get all 4 semis in 2 weeks time frame (every 3-4 days per semi).
