Posted March 31, 201015 yr I love this track. One of the best on the Animal album. It's my second fave song after the Disturbia-esque Take It Off (I love that tune). Anyway, back to the track. The track it's self is very upbeat with booming synths with a summery, clubby tone to it. Also has that epic laugh and line '' I like your beard'' Here's the official cover. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fc/Kesha_love_is_my_drug_new.jpg Have a listen to the song here too. 7UDdYTjXiS8 What do you think of the song? Is it a great choice for the 3rd single from the album? Will do well in the charts? UK release has been announced for June 6th. :yahoo:  Edited April 21, 201015 yr by Tacticz
March 31, 201015 yr I was really hoping for 'blind' as that's my favourite plus she's not had a ballad yet, but this is my 3rd favourite and I prefer it to the first 2 singles so it's alright. I hope that this does well, but people may think it sounds a little like 'tik tok' so I'm not sure. :(
March 31, 201015 yr Oh dear god not this again. Nothings been confirmed. And that is not official lol
March 31, 201015 yr 'Take It Off' is my favourite song on the album and I really want that as a single at some point, but this is an excellent choice. I see no reason why this can't do well, especially with a good video. That "I like your beard line" at the end makes me cringe every time, I have to skip to the next song before that part.
April 1, 201015 yr I'm chuffed this is the next single, it's so much better than the stupid Blah Blah Blah, and dare I say, even better than Tik Tok. Should have been the second single!
April 1, 201015 yr Mehhh would rather Hungover tbh...could show everyone she has a different side. Blah Blah Blah was a $h!t choice tbh, not too surprised it didn't sell that well. Don't see this doing much better either really, and won't be surprised to see it miss the top ten.

I'm almost certain it will be either her 4th or 5th (after Take It Off) single as it is the most commercial ballad on the album. Hungover and DWTIME are too, but Blind is more so.
April 1, 201015 yr Not one of my favourite's on the album, but still good and I think it's a great single choice. But if she has a 4th single, it really needs to be a ballad
April 1, 201015 yr This makes the most sense tbh since I think its already charted in some countries on album track basis alone? Great decision though, far and above my favourite from the album and so much better than the dreadful Blah Blah Blah
April 1, 201015 yr Great single choice, my favourite track on the album! :cheer: Hopefully this'll keep her top 11 streak going. :heehee:
April 1, 201015 yr Yeh I like this :)... an obvious choice after it was replaced as 'Blah Blah Blah' for 2nd.
April 1, 201015 yr I  this song :D - great choice for third single, i'm hoping Top 10 for this :) hope 'Take It Off' gets a release
April 3, 201015 yr Ke$ha’s third single off her debut album “Animal” is “Your Love Is My Drug” as we reported earlier. The single will be released April 20th in the US. tHE Track is currently at #21 on the US Itunes main singles charts so make sure you keep supporting it! The song is already at #27 on the US Billboard Hot 100,, #48 on the Canadian Hot 100 and #63 on the UK Singles Chart without an official release which is amazing news! We have been told that the director of music video will be Honey. Honey has directed amazing music videos such as Paramore’s “Ignorance”, KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See” and Kings Of Leon’s “Molly’s Chambers” aswell as others. So we cannot wait for whats to come of this video. ^_^
April 3, 201015 yr No offence but both the videos for 'Ignorance' and 'Suddenly I See' are awful! LOL. I hope she gets a good video though, the song deserves one. Thrilled to hear it's the third single too.
