Like A G6 looks like it might be late 2010/early 2011's Fireflies... a slow climb to #1 in the USA followed by a January release in the UK and being a massive #1 in both territories at different times.

 

That's assuming Like A G6 doesn't get a UK release before 2010 is out.

I watched a youtube video of it though, and it says it was uploaded in 2009! :o Has it been on iTunes since then, but only now just got popular, or was it like some sort of massive online hit which convinced them to actually go and sell it? From the looks of things, the version currently at #1 on iTunes has been on iTunes since mid-April this year. But yeah, I've seen the video on YouTube which has been on there since last November, so the song must be nearly a year old or something :o

 

'Like A G6' is quite a good song, but not great, a little average for me at the moment. A song which everyone else seems to love, but I don't quite get - like 'Teenage Dream' in that respect.
